For Dobbins Lakeside Campground: We stayed 1 night. Could not find Gate 2 so went in Main Gate. We asked to have the barriers removed so we could drive straight in. No idea what the shower code was, but my husband used a code from Barksdale and it worked. Campground was nice but the pads are not level. Overall , would stay here longer to tour around the Atlanta area.

For Dobbins Lakeside Campground: Not happy campers after a rainy night in Site 1. It is the low point for the camp by the lake, so all the runoff came thru us. A huge pile of gravel was at the entrance to our site, too bad it wasn’t spread over the mud and puddles we tromped thru to set up. The bathhouse code they sent us didn’t work, so no toilet, showers, or free laundry (those were the reasons we wanted to stay there). Went to the camp host for help, but they weren’t home and no contact info for them was provided - don’t step in the dog poop around the host’s door. They tie a dog out from their steps and don’t pick up the poo. Look up before you park - we had a dead branch fall on our truck over night. The emergency after hours number provided rings to the office which is only open Monday & Friday 0900-1500. The park has potential, but it was a bust for us!

For Dobbins Lakeside Campground: Location to Atlanta is great. Mostly filled with long-termers, friendly and inviting. Facilities were adequate and clean. With some landscaping work, this could be a really nice campground. Our site #16 was surrounded by dirt, which made any “set up” impossible and it was really messy from recent rain anyway. But other sites looked better, I think we got the worst one. For an overnight, it was fine. Very quiet!

For Dobbins Lakeside Campground: Arrived after hours with a reservation. Surprise...site was occupied. Boondocked underneath the ground approach radar after clearing it with the SPs. Will check with ITT tomorrow. Hopefully it will work out as the camp looks fantastic.

For Dobbins Lakeside Campground: If arriving or departing after normal hours M-F 0700-1700 call base security to send an officer out to open the gate. tel:678-655-4909 Desk SGT was very courteous and and Airman arrived within a few minutes. Campground was good for the night. Running/walking path on base was convenient.

For Dobbins Lakeside Campground: Stayed here a few nights on our travels. Very happy with the campground. Showers and bath facilities are very clean. Base Exchange very close. Down side is most campers seem abandoned and not looked after. Few over night sites. Never heard from anyone over seeing campground when i had a question.
