For Skidaway Island State Park: Loved the campground among mature trees with few poor sites. Nice walking trails and appreciated laundry facilities. Close enough to Savannah for a day.

For Skidaway Island State Park: Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of the campground at Skidaway State Park Campground. Getting to the campground is all on good roads. The roads in the campground are paved and in OK condition. Some trees need to be trimmed back so they do not hit the motorhome. The campground office was new and everyone were friendly. They give you a map to your site. Small camp store. There is a large area for parking while checking in. The road signage to our site was very bad. We saw lots of confused people during the week. Sites have fire pits and firewood is available at the nearby stores. Our site was 50, a back in site with a picnic table. The campground is full of big beautiful tree. Our site was level. The site was dry. The site was gravel with a crushed sand patio. The campground has no seasonal folks. The bath house is nice and clean. The camp host were none social. Laundry is good. There is no pool, ping pond, basketball, cornhole, but you have a nice play ground and outdoor fitness area. There is no restaurant on site, but the campground is close to town. No Cable TV service is available. No Wifi is available. Over the air antenna was good. No road noise to note. Our site was long and wide. Lots of room. The grounds were well maintained and looked nice. There is good spacing between each site. So why a 3. The road signs were terrible. Trees need to be trimmed. Never saw the camp host. I like sites 4, 50, 26 and 10 are my favorite. We would come back. Dream Big, Travel Far, Live Well...

For Skidaway Island State Park: Nice campground, 81 large, well separated sites, but no bushes for privacy. Nice bathrooms, heated with showers. Visitors Center. Lots of bugs. 25 minutes from Savannah - closest campground to Savannah. Stayed in March 2022 in 18' campervan

For Skidaway Island State Park: As everyone says, a beautiful campground. Sites are big. New visitor center. Lots of things to do nearby in Savannah - historical sites, art and other types of museums, restaurants and shopping. RV parking available for $20 at the Savannah Visitor Center. But you can’t go anywhere on Skidaway Island itself except the grocery store and the aquarium. Most of the roads, all of the restaurants and the 6 island golf courses are private, w/guarded gates that prevent the people they don’t want from entering. That part of our visit was very creepy to me. Bad energy. That said, the campground is lovely.

For Skidaway Island State Park: We loved our site. It was shady and extremely spacious. We probably won’t be back that way, but would definitely stay there again if we did.

Margarita

For Skidaway Island State Park: Big private sites, the standard sites get alittle muddy when it rains. Roads are narrow and bumpy due to roots. New bath house up front. Standard site does not have septic only premium sites. Only stayed one night but will be back to check out the park more.

For Skidaway Island State Park: Stayed 2 nights in 35ft class A. Wooded unpaved site. Paved roads are narrow and bumpy in places due to roots under roads. Close to sightseeing sites and City. New bathhouse.
