Pat

For Robins AFB FamCamp: Got here after dark, gps took us to main gate, MP “kid” gave us wrong directions to rv gate to inspect RV. Drove in circles for 45 min, returned to main gate & finally got correct directions. After coming onto base, directions sketchy to campground, finally found it but could hardly see road to turn in on. Very difficult!!! Not worth $25 for one night. Took us total hr fifteen min to find. Didn’t even check out rest rooms.

For Robins AFB FamCamp: Gate to AFB difficult to find and fam camp even worse. Once we finally got there with the help of rolling security, we found the camp to be in pretty bad condition. Host was gone, office closed but very friendly campers that helped us get settled. Reservations a must but not worth the frustration for one night.

Rita

For Robins AFB FamCamp: My husband and I drove through in October, 2017, and were surprised to see old campers covered in green mold in bad repair amid a lot of junky clutter. The lake was not visible because of overgrown bushes and weeds. We could not believe it was Air Force owned and operated! We left without talking to anyone.

For Robins AFB FamCamp: Nice campground. For the most part the grounds are melted very clean. Seems like this site like most FamCamps are being used as military housing sites for those that want to pocket some of their housing allowance. Had to find a site. Nice base. BX and commissary stocked but pricy. Only negative is no one seems to clean the restrooms.

Jersey Devils

For Robins AFB FamCamp: Not your normal FAMCAMP. Have to go in the commercial gate to get in. FAMCAMP is small and doesn't have very many full hook up sites. Looks like most sites are used by snow birds for the season. They have a small dry camp area, but our 40' RV fit in there fine. The check in is only manned from 10 am to 2 pm and can't provide you with very much information. They have an interesting Aviation Musuem outside the base. Couldn't find much else to do.

Hobo on wheels

For Robins AFB FamCamp: This was a huge disappointment. We were escorted to the campground by security and were initially impressed with the general area - a small lake, lots of trees and trails. But the campground itself was not up to par. We arrived after hours and our reservation information was waiting for us. As we drove to our site we passed many RVs that looked abandoned with junk piled outside of them. There was a squatter RV next to our site, parked on what the map showed was an empty space, and connected to our electricity and water. The restrooms were closed. We will not be back.

For Robins AFB FamCamp: Overall the sight is very nice. The hardest part of arriving was finding gate 4. They are not identifed very well. The first gate we tried was the closest to the campground. After getting to the id station we found out it was gate 14. So we had to make a tricky u-turn and head back on 247. Once we found gate 4, which is where commercial vechiles enter, our truck and trailer was quickly searched before we were allowed to enter the base. Once we found the FAM Camp, we stopped at the closed office and our packet was waiting for us as promosed. We arrived after sunset and parking was fairly easy. The campground is laid out well, but when full, like now,it is pretty crowded. It is definetly big rig friendly park. There a few drive thru slots, but mostly back in spots. All spots are on cement slabs, and leveling is not a issue.
