For Prairie Ridge: Sadly, this is the worst Army Corps park I've ever seen. 2 1/2 miles of unmarked mud or washboard (depending on the weather) road to get there. Park roads are potholes. The A loop campground is 2 miles from the showers and the showers are so disgusting you wouldn't wash your dog there. Daddy Long Legs arachnids everywhere in the showers/toilets. I killed dozens every day and didn't even make a dent in the population. Showers were hosed out occasionally but never cleaned once in two weeks we were there.
Right on Rathbun Lake and the campground never filled up, even on weekends. That tells you something right there.
Hosts were friendly and it's a beautiful location but don't go unless you have no alternative.

For Prairie Ridge: One of my favorites. Nice and quiet. Water is in loop B, not A, if you need that.
