For Springbrook State Park: Wonderful campground, especially during the week when it's quieter. Like other Iowa DNR campgrounds we visited, it's cheap ($16 in 2019), provides electricity and a dump / water refill station, is well maintained and the spaces are well separated with nice trees between.

For Springbrook State Park: Great lake scenery and relatively easy hiking trail around the lake. Playground and concession. Nice remote location so very quiet at night. Went paddle boarding on the lake using the boat docks on the lake. Many great day use areas. We had a family gathering staying at the Sherburne Cabin, the only one in the park. It is a nice 4 bedroom cabin with a great room, table and grill area and picturesque views. Just a work of caution: As normal, you are expected to leave it in pristine condition. we scrubbed and swept for several hours, but lost a good chunk of our deposit because they said it was not adequately cleaned. The park is quite a ways from stores, but the drive in the countryside were worth it
