For KOA Holiday Onawa: A lovely shady retreat! We enjoyed our one night stay in site 17, a long level shady pull through. Friendly and welcoming staff. Grassy areas nicely mowed and also a dog park where dogs could be off leash. The park backs up to Blue lake, and there are several docks where people were fishing. Across the lake was a Lewis and Clark State Park, which also has a section for RV camping. The visitor center has replicas of the expeditions boats, and information about it. We did not use the restrooms or showers. Groceries are available in nearby Onawa. Interstate 29 is in great shape all the way to Sioux Falls, where we left it for I 80. We would definitely stay there again.

For KOA Holiday Onawa: When we reserved our campsite it said water front, yet our spot we were given was in the back by the road, sites are very small and packed super close. I’d pass on this one even for a one night stay.

For KOA Holiday Onawa: Quiet place, away from highway on a little lake. Everything you need except wifi. They have it, but don't try to use it. You will get throttled off of it after 10 minutes of low intensity web surfing (reading news, Facebook, email). It is slow even at that.
