For Lewis And Clark State Park: Lovely lake with pretty sunrises. The trails are extra wide for walking. The showers are excellent!!! Water quality is very good as well.

For Lewis And Clark State Park: Really enjoyed the park and the surrounding Loess Hills area. We wanted a pullthrough FHU site, but none available months in advance. I think a lot of locals reserve those. But that’s OK because our back-in site was very nice, with a beautiful view of the lake. Very easy back-ins. Two dump stations with potable water. Visit the museum, well worth it. We never used the bathrooms, but every thing seemed well maintained and clean. The back camp area (where the pullthrough are) seems the nicest area with more privacy at the sites.

For Lewis And Clark State Park: Lovely roomy and scenic FHU sites. Interesting keelboat and displays on Lewis and Clark Expedition. Stayed only one night passing through to Black Hills. Will be back to enjoy this awesome state park and beautiful lake. Iowa gets it and does it right!

For Lewis And Clark State Park: We were here for two weekday nights. It was very empty (the FHU row was full, but we were by the water with w/e only). It was a nice campground right on a lake. Some sites were closed due to flooding this year. Bathrooms were fine, we didn’t use the showers but they looked fine. Not too much to do close by unless you fish, but we were able to go for a nice walk from the campground and chill outside. Overall I would recommend.

For Lewis And Clark State Park: What a gem of a park! Very clean and right on top of the water. Majority of sites boarder the lake. We arrived in October and it was still busier than we expected. Boaters, hunters and families. You can walk up or reserve. We loved the fact we could back right up to the water. All spacious sites, many full hookups. Water spigot is close to electric sites. Trails groomed and mowed through the woods and park. Camped in a 40 ft motor home with tow. I'd come back again and spend more time here.

For Lewis And Clark State Park: Lewis and Clark State Park is an excellent campground. It is right off of I 29. GPS takes you past the park and you have to make a u turn. Look for the signs and turn when you see them. Very reasonable rates. We paid sixteen dollars for an electric only site. I believe full hop-ups were about nineteen dollars, those go fast.
Very well maintained and friendly staff.
Beautiful lake with Cottonwood Trees throughout the campsite. We wanted to stay one more night but did not have time.
The only issue is that the bath house could use some TLC.
