For Blackwell Island RV Park: This is our fourth stay here. The main road is paved but the interior roads and sites are level gravel. Our pull thru site had grass between the sites but was a bit short for or 40’ foot class A and tow vehicle. We had to disconnect so as to not stick out in the road. We enjoy this campground and would stay here again.

For Blackwell Island RV Park: Worst experience in three years of RVing across the US! We were in the process of packing up to leave when a woman started mowing all around our RV and literally at our feet. I asked her to give us five minutes to leave and she refused. I’ve never experienced such disregard for a customer nor the inherent danger of running commercial mowers so close to people. I stopped by the office to complain to the owner and he said that I was inconsiderate and should have let the woman mow because they need to maintain the property. Shortly after, we saw her mowing the many other empty spaces!! The owner’s final comment to me was thank you for not coming back!! So I recommend others to seriously consider never going in the first place!!!

For Blackwell Island RV Park: Tremendous looking park with a marina next door. Stayed 4 nights in a 38' fifth wheel and had no issues pulling in or monuvering about. You can walk to the beachfront or take a quick ride into town. There is countless things to do in the area as most of the residents of the park come for the season. Book early but book this place!

For Blackwell Island RV Park: The location is fabulous - right on the lake, and there's a lot for kids to do, including water craft and toys to rent. Most of the sites are spaced away from others pretty well. There are a couple things keeping them from being a five star RV resort, though.
First of all, the grass. I was very disappointed that much of the grass is not green . . . yet you aren't allowed to put a rug down on the dead grass/dirt. They water pieces but not the whole thing. In some spots, such as ours this year, there was no green grass at all. (Picture attached). This was in August, so there was no excuse. We were there two years ago and encounterd the same problem, but at that time we were there for two months so we watered the grass ourselves, which is what the camp workers do at their sites.
They also miss the 5th start because, although the main roads are asphalt, the inner roads leading to the sites, and the pads themselves, are gravel. They after pretty level, though.
Despite the drawbacks, we will go back, because you can't beat the location. Next time, I'll come loaded with sprinklers, though!

For Blackwell Island RV Park: Fantastic place with about anything you could need. Very pet friendly and well laid out. Would be great for long stays I would imagine but we were only there 2 nights. Fabulous little place.

For Blackwell Island RV Park: Great spot in the marina and close to downtown Couer dAlene. The view of the lake is nice. It’s a narrow view and I believe there is a water treatment place across the river (lot of pipes and an open flame running that I only know of on sewage treatment plants/ but I could be wrong). FYI I didn’t point this out to my wife. On a positive note the people here are awesome and super friendly. So many pull throughs. And a lot of green space for the price. The only negative I have is that the wireless is slowish. Not slow. But it takes awhile to download any video if your streaming Netflix. Plus we were here when the place was relatively empty so I could only imagine it getting slower and not faster.
