For Lake Murphysboro State Park: We really enjoyed this site. There is water on three sides which kept a constant breeze. We stayed in April with great weather, but a couple of regulars mentioned that there is always a breeze, even when it’s hot. It seemed like there were many regulars and families which stayed in the site. There were only electric sites, and the dump station was in good working order. The rest of the amenities were pretty basic. Murphysboro was close if you need anything. The the Little Grand Canyon was a great hike near by. We’re planning to go back again since we enjoyed it overall.
