For Charlestown State Park: $30.53 a night. Full hookup, lots of song bird, tanagers, buntings, orioles both orchard and Baltimore, warblers and towhees. Close enough to visit Churchill Downs. Great campground. Stayed may of 2021.

For Charlestown State Park: Stayed in electric only site with 40' class A for 2 weeks. Low hanging tree's where impossible to get around. Some sites only have an 8' clearance. Most sites are out of level front to back. Out door carpeting used buy campers have left mud on the door side of many sites although the campground is starting to put down stone because of this. Bathroom showers are timed push button for the water. Staff and campers where nice. I would stay again but I know now what sites to stay in.

For Charlestown State Park: Located just north of Louisville Kentucky, this was a great two days stop between segments of my trip. The campsites were nice with full hook ups. They were moderately spaced apart and I didn’t feel crowded. Level pads, the hookups, a fire pit and picnic table were accessible and conveniently located. I was on #122 in the Mulberry loop. I did notice some of the sewer hook ups on a few sites seem to be located uphill from the parking pads. Several of the larger rigs really had to block up there hoses. You’ll need to pay the park admission fee before you get to the campground. I think it was only nine dollars for out-of-state residents. Once in the main entrance, make a right and go past the park office sign directly to the campground. Turn into the campground is located on your left. For those of you working remotely, it was all right. AT&T coverage was sufficient to power my hotspot. There is no Wi-Fi available there. I had to cut my trip short in return home due to hurricane either in the reins. I didn’t have the chance to explore the park or the walking trails. From what I saw it was a very nice, well-kept in large State Park

For Charlestown State Park: The park is nice with several trails. The camp sites are hit or miss for big rigs. We could not get our awning out due to trees and had to park carefully to get our bedroom slides out. Also, we needed 2 blocks under the rear tires to get level. Leveling without the blocks put the rear tires in the air. We would come back, but have noted some sites that we would fit in better. If you have a TT, you will probably fit in most spots. Class A & 5ers need to pick sites that will fit for both height and length. Then there is the occasional guest who just ignores the rules. The view out of our front window was a site with a TT, 2 pick up trucks and a pontoon boat parked in it. The rules allow a RV and 1 other vehicle. We didn’t complain and the rangers didn’t seem to care.

For Charlestown State Park: Beautiful state park with spacious, level sites. Nicely maintained and very quiet. Lots of nice trails for hiking, running or biking. They have a nice overlook and oat launch at the far end of the (huge) park. Minus one star because we chose this to be close to Louisville attractions but it is actually about 30 minutes away. Not much at all near the campground, but if you stay here don’t miss jef’s bakery for the 'ost amazing donuts and such. Open 24/7.

For Charlestown State Park: Close to Louisville, this campground is clean, spacious, quiet and full of wildlife. We had a full hookup site and it was perfect for exploring the Louisville area. It is very quiet and well maintained.

For Charlestown State Park: Very nice park! Great bike trails huge park very quiet when we were here on August 11stayed 3 nights so nice we are coming back tomorrow! They are spacious sites but not very wide on concrete. very few full service they could use more some sites are very short we were lucky we are ada. Beautiful park
