For Sand Creek Campground: We stayed here because the state & National campgrounds for the sand dunes. It’s only about 15 minutes from the park, the office staff were very friendly & helpful. We had a tent site for our van which worked out great. The tent sites are very spacious, grass cut. There are shaded & less shaded sites. The bathrooms & showers are a bit dated, but were clean & hot water for the showers.

For Sand Creek Campground: I would not recommend this campground. Unlike others I have stayed at in NW Indiana this summer. They have opted not to open pool this summer under new management in May,. Playground currently consists of rusted teeter/totter & swings. Although, they I pleasant are office they allow dogs to be unattended for extended period of time in their resident (contractors) sites. During my stays I reported to management my concerns about well being of 3 dogs in one trailer that last broke out screen of unattended trailer exhibiting aggression to myself & my leashed dog. The yelping myself and family heard when owners came home and were yelling at dogs. My sense was the resident campers took priority perhaps for monetary consistency over vacationing campers. Very bad experience and truly heartfelt concern for dogs locked up in trailer and likely condition inside for the animals. There are other local enjoyable campgrounds.

For Sand Creek Campground: After winding around through neighborhoods and corn fields which brought us back close to I-80, we located the campground thanks to a delapidated entrance sign.Despite the fact that I had called just a few minutes earlier the office was closed. We tried to find a responsible person. After wandering thru potholed dirt road, we were met by an unpleasant Asian man who was of no help to even direct us to a site. Disgusted we left him to learn English and the properway to speak to potential customers. Hope he learns soon or his whole investment(" I am the owner" he kept saying) will be for nothing...
