For Bluestem Point - El Dorado State Park: Extremely large state park. Obviously too big to maintain well as it is run down. The grass is mowed but sites are dilapidated. But off season you have lots of site choices with beautiful lake views.

For Bluestem Point - El Dorado State Park: This place is enormous. Many different loops. The place itself is gorgeous. Our experience however was not great. Tehy have full hookups but only with 30 amps. We have a big rig and we live in it. It was close to 100 degrees and the 30 amp could not handle our AC and kept tripping the circuit. At night we turned off one of the ACs and closed ourselves and 2 dogs in the bedroom. They have tons of 50 amp sites but none with sewer which we find essential as we are on the road as a lifestyle and going to the dump station every few days gets old fast.
Our site was trashed when we got there; previous occupants had left partially burnt trash in the fire pit which included partially melted plastic bottles, beer cans and too many cigarette butts to count; we had to clean out the fire pit just so our dogs could sit out (their snouts were stuck in the fire pit, rooting for the food on paper plates etc.) The site was gravel and was way overdue for freshening up; lots of the gravel all over the grassy part of the site (along with tons of cigarette butts).
We drove all around and the lake and shoreline is gorgeous. Some loops were much more desirable than ours and many, many sites were super pull throughs right along the water.
Might consider staying again but the trash was a real buzz kill.

For Bluestem Point - El Dorado State Park: Stayed 1 night mid December and had campground to ourselves. It's primitive only off season. Electricity is shut off at sites with electricity. Looks like a great and busy place in season.
