For McConnell AFB Krueger Recreation Area: We were in the smaller famcamp 2 area. It was ok for the 4 nights we were there. Quiet area & plenty of space to walk dogs. Laundry was ok, in famcamp 1 area. Exchange & commissary close by, close to town. Dump is very convenient. Fed the horses across the way some carrots ☺️ When we arrived the sides of our pad were filled with water & mud, tires got caked. We had to trim the tree in the back for our toy hauler. They came the next day & put sand in one side of the pad. The workers who drive by go way to fast! There are no dog poop stations. They could really do some improving but it worked out for us.

For McConnell AFB Krueger Recreation Area: Stayed at Fam camp 2. Only water and electric but easy to back in. No traffic so you can take your time. Clean secure level spots. Didn’t even have to unhook. Plenty of space for dogs to walk. Spaces tight but not an issue. Outdoor Rec staff was lovely Will stay again. $20 a night.

For McConnell AFB Krueger Recreation Area: The campground is on two sections. We stayed in Area1. Full hook up in a very level site. Restrooms were very clean and there is coin operated laundry. There are two tornado shelters on on each end of the camp. The sites have picnic bench and fire rings. Standing water is an issue when it rains, a good layer of fill dirt graded toward the road would be extremely beneficial. Also the mower should use a grass catcher. If there is WiFi, it is unstable and if there is a password for the WIFI, it is not provided. The directions to the camp are incorrect. Check in is at Outdoor Recreation building, NOT billeting. So when you hang a left to get to billeting, just drive on until you get to Wichita Road. Make a right and head to the WATER TOWER, make a left and follow the road to Out Door recreation, there is an ample pull out there. The camp is further down the road, Area one, make a turn at the intersection, Area, continue on down the road a bit further it is on the right side of the perimeter road. The sites in area 1 are pull through a and the sites in area two are back in. There is a container for trash and one for recycle. The commissary, exchange and gas only station are near by. Diesel is available off base, we found the best price at the QT on Rock Road south of the base. This is a diamond in the rough. We stayed 4 days while visiting my family and seeing the sights.

For McConnell AFB Krueger Recreation Area: We enjoyed our overnight stay in FamCamp 2. The site was large and fairly level. We were able to stay hitched since we were just traveling through. The dump station was easy to use as we left. The kids really enjoyed the horses on the other side of the fence. We had a lot of grass to play and enjoy a summer evening. Using the BX, Shoppette, and Commissary is always a plus too!

For McConnell AFB Krueger Recreation Area: Upon arrival we realized we should have read the reviews! We are in FamCamp 2 even though we reserved the full hookups in FamCamp 1. The sites have water/electric only and are incredibly narrow. We wish we could just boondock in the adjacent field. The dump station is tilted so that we could only use it upon arriving and not departing. Camp elsewhere!

For McConnell AFB Krueger Recreation Area: Do not stay here unless you can be in Famcamp 1. We are in 2 and it is like a raceway here. Cops and construction workers seem to go 50+ on the road in front of us. We have to go over to Famcamp 1 to use the showers, restrooms, laundry and to walk the nicely kept walking trail. Be sure to call as early as possible to get into famcamp 1.
