For My Old Kentucky Home State Park: I concur with the previous review. Some sites my cord and hose couldn’t reach utilities #24. Ended up at #5 no problem. There was a camp host friendly and helpful. If you are a golfer and have your clubs beautiful course $38 with cart. A long walk but doable to the Kentucky home. Couple of distilleries close by along with history Bardstown.

For My Old Kentucky Home State Park: Although we agree with the other reviews, this park needs some updating, we enjoyed our time here. The location can’t be beat for exploring this part of the bourbon trail. Our site, #22, worked for us. We did see that some sites had funky and inconvenient water and electric hookups. But the website is good on that, look closely. The park was pretty empty and there wasn’t much presence of a camp host, even though one appeared to be there. And our fire pit had a bunch of trash and glass in it (why are we seeing that so often these days?!?). We would stay here again if in the area.

For My Old Kentucky Home State Park: Like the other reviews- I found it to be a tired looking state campground overdue for some TLC or upgrades. The sites have a wide range of slope to them- from not bad (our friends at #11) to ours-where we needed all our leveling blocks. When you book- pay close attention to the details of slope and distance to the utilities. It’s there for a reason. Bath house was “acceptable†and camp hosts were actually very helpful. In general it was just a curious campground within a well maintained state park- the vibe was the campground had seen better days compared to the rest of the facility.

For My Old Kentucky Home State Park: Location is very good but the campground itself has not been well laid out or maintained. No one at the campground to assist with check-in or issues. Had to go to the golf pro shop where they had no info or inclination to help. Our site was missing a picnic table. Site lengths are accurate on the website, but the roads are very tight for backing into the site. Site had full hookups, which worked well but note distance from power and water on the website. Did not use bathhouse or dump station so cannot comment on those facilities.

For My Old Kentucky Home State Park: This is a fantastic place to stay. Do you need a 50 cord and water hose? Yes. But this park is beautiful, large sites and just a few miles from all of the distilleries. Nice wooded sites with lots of shade, $26 for the night. We showed up as walk ups and were able to get a spot, it it was fairly full. Highly recommended.

For My Old Kentucky Home State Park: Unlevel spots, broken up asphalt sites, hook ups too far away from camper, need complete update especially bathrooms. Water is hot but don’t expect to get water pressure if anyone flushes toilet. My slide out nearly touched the neighbors awning. Fire rings placed in weird unusable places. Run down for the price. Paying for location only

For My Old Kentucky Home State Park: Campsite was clean. Bathrooms were very clean. Great proximity to the town, distilleries, and golf course. My only problem is that many of the sites had 90 degree angle spots, luckily it was dead and was able to use other sites to help me get backed in. Another MAJOR issue is that sites 14 and 16 are very far from the electric and water hookup, 39 feet away. There is no mention of it On the website. The girl at check in made us aware after I had halfway set up camp and called her about changing sites and she said “yeah a lot of people have complained about it†luckily Lowe’s had one 30 amp extension cord left, for $60. But other than that, I would stay again.
