For Camp Carlson Army RV Park: Camp host extremely rude!!!!!!!!! We came in at 12:48 went to the office I was told they were closed for lunch till 1, however the camper that pulled in right after us got their spot right after I walked away to wait for 1. She was rude, very worried our pets and if we know how to pick up after them, signs posted you cannot throw away doggie bags so I am not sure what we are supposed to do? No cable, no internet and no cellphone reception!!!! Very noisy at night, with whatever it was outside! Spots right on top of each other, tight trying to park. Commissary and px within five miles, only nice thing to say about this place! Oh yeah why can’t we wash towels in the laundry room? Silly rules, MWR ran wouldn’t stay here again already ready to leave been here seven hours!!! It’s gonna be a very long week! I would leave tomorrow but they won’t refund for early departure! Stay away don’t come here find somewhere else!

For Camp Carlson Army RV Park: Clean shower and restroom. Plenty of washer and dryers. Mostly gravel level spots. Full Hook ups were good. Table and grill. We overnighted here. Good place.

For Camp Carlson Army RV Park: Based on other Army recreation areas, this park scores high. While limited TV channels and cellphone reception, it had exactly what we wanted. Away from the big city but close enough to several key attractions. Easy access to the commissary and Exchange. Office staff were very friendly and helpful. The camp hosts on duty, Chris and Sabine set the bar high when it comes to the ideal characteristics and behaviors of camp hosts. Friendly, responsive, helpful to all, and dedicated to their roles and responsibilities.

For Camp Carlson Army RV Park: The camp site were assigned was a concrete slab pull through. The water and electricity were located on the opposite side at the very rear of the coach. This requires over 50 feet of water hose and 45 feet of electrical cable to supply water and electricity to your RV. The sewer was on the appropriate side and in the middle of the slab(as it’s supposed to be). The cost was $35 per night for the pull through and $30 per night for back-in. There is little to no phone reception, no cable tv, no over the air reception. All facilities including Fort Knox facilities are at least 10 miles distance from camping ground. There’s better options in the area in state parks and civilian camp grounds when they are available.

For Camp Carlson Army RV Park: It is decent for the price but somewhat unkempt. The grass is overgrown in the playgrounds, volleyball pits and the lawn areas. What is mowed must be done with dull blades. The laundry/ shower building is clean inside but covered in webs outside. The bridge near the bat cave is in disrepair. The trail around the lake is overgrown.
There are some nice cabins and a beautiful event space overlooking the lake.

Bill
For Camp Carlson Army RV Park: I'm retired military, and one has to be connected with the military to use this site (I love that). My grandkids loved it as much as I did. True, no wifi, so I brought my own. We had a great time at the tent site. All kinds of things are nearby. We'll make this our home campground for weekend camping.
