For Hillman Ferry: Stayed here 3 nites in an elec/water site as a full hookup was not available. First time to stay here and we just found it funny that everyone rides around in their golf carts. Ate at Patti's & also drove around surrounding area extensively. If we are ever back in the area we will try Birdsville RV and Campground as it is right on the river and we enjoy watching the big barges.

For Hillman Ferry: Great place. Friendly hosts. Washer/dryers at most bath houses. There is also a little store inside camp ground where you can borrow basket & soccer balls. They have emergency grocery items ($$$) Nice playgrounds, one for little ones and one for a bit older kids.
Just left, and lake was up high. The sites near the water were flooded so beware if you go in spring.
We stayed in the full hookup area and were very pleased. The only draw back was that we stayed there 4 nights and the garbage trucks ran very early 2 of the mornings. So that kinda woke us up early for vacation.
They were actively spraying pesticides for ticks, might want to bring some OFF. We found several before going inside so be sure to watch out.
Ate in Grand Rivers, at Patti's 1880 settlement restaurant, very good. Call for reservations.
Go se the bison and elk prairie too.
