For Bayou Wilderness RV Resort: Hospitality, infrastructure, and what a campground! 10 minutes off the track is worth it. We should have booked three nights.

Lon

For Bayou Wilderness RV Resort: Stayed here in a 40’ Motorhome. Nice roomy pull thru sites with great wifi , cable and full hookups. Office was very welcoming and helpful . Plenty of great restaurants nearby, fuel stations and etc. Had planned to stay one night but decided to stay extra night and enjoy the local Cajun seafood. We will return when in this area.

For Bayou Wilderness RV Resort: Cannot tell you how kind and professional the staff treated us. The cleanest site I have seen in years! Want to come back every weekend!

Quint

For Bayou Wilderness RV Resort: This is NOT a “Resort.” There appear to be a dozen or so permanent residents here in old campers, the rest of us come and go, many for just a night. There is a pool, but part of the fence is broken and has a flimsy orange plastic “snow fence” in it’s place. That is very close to the playground, so that’s an accident waiting to happen. There’s been a lot of rain lately and the tennis court is flooded. Most sites don’t have any type of patio. Sites 55 and 83 have large concrete patios, some others have small concrete, brick or wooden patios (SMALL), the majority have nothing. There has been a TON of rain, so those without a patio just have their stairs open into puddles or saturated grass. The garbage containers are very full and open to the elements and critters, who have dragged trash from one onto the ground where it has been laying for a couple of days now. We do have 50 amp, water, sewer and cable, but for some reason our cable channels are all fuzzy. The road leading here, N Wilderness Trail, is fairly narrow and littered with potholes, difficult even for the car especially when the locals get right on your bumper. There is a “security” gate at the entrance that requires a code, but nothing at the other end (the “exit”), so anyone could drive in that way. There are several washers and dryers (coin op), but I don’t know if they work. The ladies lav/shower room is clean, but I did not use the showers. Bottom line: this place is worth about $15 a night, but they charge $43! The owners are lovely people, and i think they have only owned it about 3 years or so. I think they got in over their heads.

Andy M

For Bayou Wilderness RV Resort: Stopped here for an overnight stay and due to a medical emergency (heart attack with quadruple bypass), stayed three weeks. This family owned business couldn't have been nicer or more helpful during this trying time. They made this difficult circumstance into a positive experience. All spots are on gravel and fairly level. Plenty of large pull-through sites with full hookups. Good cell coverage on AT&T and Verizon. 20+ on air channels and satellite coverage throughout park. Cable was being added during our stay. New hot tub/whirlpool should be operational by the spring. Fairly close to Lafayette LA. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here if it's on their route and we will return, hopefully for only an overnight, next year. Stayed in 45 foot Class A Motorhome with tow.

Gayle

For Bayou Wilderness RV Resort: Super nice RV park. The sites are large and it is off the beaten road which makes for peace and quiet.

jean

For Bayou Wilderness RV Resort: This is a nice, clean, gated park. Restrooms and showers are clean and relatively modern. The showers are small but do have benches and hooks. The laundry is clean with newer machines. The wifi signal is strong at the sites. Sites are gravel with some grads but no picnic table. There is a pool but we didn't use it. There isn't any shade. Some rigs looked to be permanent but they were fairly well kept up. The park was about half full.
