For Fontainebleau State Park: Would give 4.5 if you could. Sites are nice and level. Pier is nice and the park is quiet and well maintained. We had a pull-thru site and it was very easy to park and hookup.

For Fontainebleau State Park: One night transit stay but seemed like a well maintained campground. As noted drainage is a problem and with recent rains most sites were water logged. Given the low elevation there is only so much the park can do. Ranger was nice enough to let us go scope out a dry site before paying to ensure we didn't get under water.

For Fontainebleau State Park: I would echo everything that Airstream before me had to say. We had site #14 which was probably the driest one in the park. Internet was very poor.

For Fontainebleau State Park: The park is lovely unless you're staying during rainy weather. Poor drainage with clogged culverts causes standing ponds which promote mosquito havens. At least 50% of the RV sites have no access to the picnic tables or fire pits due to this poor drainage problem. Some pads become so flooded with only a couple of days worth of rain that RV steps wind up over large water puddles without avoidance and causing difficulty accessing your own RV. Don't even consider tenting in the primitive areas; you'll awaken soggy mess. The park needs a lot of work. Although the bath-houses are fairly clean, they need a lot of updating. There aren't even any hooks to hang your belongings while showering. Step it up Louisiana. Y'all can do better than this for the price charged for these RV sites.

For Fontainebleau State Park: Nice park, nice sites. $6 fee for first day poor. Fairly expensive for state park. We paid $62.50 for two weekday nights.

For Fontainebleau State Park: Stayed one night on our way through and wished we could have stayed longer! Shaded sites available, we stayed on #16, a semicircular pull through. Was a tight squeeze for our 35' motor home but we had no trouble. Swimming in the lake, went for a walk in the morning and saw 11 deer. Overnight was very quiet, lots of space and privacy. Paid $28 plus $6 "reserve america fee" even though we were walk-up that day.

For Fontainebleau State Park: Very nice park. Easy walk to the beach. Very large and was not crowded on a beautiful weekend in April. Many sites are flat, level and spacious, but there are also sites in the "new campground" that the asphalt is broken up or are in low areas that are muddy. Tent campers in the primitive sites need to chose carefully in case of rain. We stayed in loop C in the "old campground" area which was very nice with our 26' RV.
