Wandering Sandals
For Stuart Lake NF Campground: Smallish campground with 8 back-in RV/tent paved sites placed between pine trees. The campground features flush toilets that seem to be out of paper all the time. Water spigots scattered between sites and one in particular, very temperamental that can’t be shut off. Good thing that we are self-contained in a trailer so even with these deficiencies, still enjoy the park. Couple short trails from campsites leading to the Stuart Lake for swimming and picnic in day use area. While day use is dog friendly, the beach area is not. For a mere $5/night, we thought this was a bargain. The campground is 11 miles to Choctaw Casino, 55 miles from Longleaf Vista, and that’s pretty much it for sight-seeing.

For Stuart Lake NF Campground: Loved this place. A dry camping dream. Level pads with concrete but no power. It was $5 a night which was a steal for the sites and views. No power but we were able to use solar. We stayed 3 days we loved it so much. No weekend crowd so it was wonderful. The bathrooms were primitive but across the way is a modern shower with bathrooms for the swimming area. We will come back again.
