For Eaton County Fairgrounds: We just wanted a quick overnight on our return trip to Indy from the Upper Peninsula...this is close to interstate but totally separated by trees. Big place with just a few campers made it easy to leave early in the morning. TV reception even from Lansing. :). Even enjoyed some 4H youth kids practicing with their horses. Was happy to give them the $20 fee for this stay. Love the camping adventure

For Eaton County Fairgrounds: We were here for the county fair. Sites and roads are very muddy if it rains and very dusty if it has not rained for a while. They offer 30 amp outlets but if the weather is warm and the park full (as it was during our week stay) it trips the main power supply because of power demand is greater than the supply. Had fun with our grand kids and their showing of their animals, but would never stay here except for the fair.
Update...while sitting in our camper our power went out again. My wife tells me she saw what looks like an official from the campground who pulled out our power plug and threw it on the ground. They never came to the door. I have a heart condition and my wife has blood cancer and we have to have air conditioning or our lives could be in jeopardy. After they left I went out and replugged the power but did not turn on the air. Shortly after that there was a knock on our door and two young fellas asked if I had our air on and I told him we did not. He said we are not allowed to turn on our air cause it will fry their master system. I reminded him we read the campground rules and as of July 2015 there was no restriction on using or not using air conditioning. I also reminded him that with the heat index near 100 degrees it is a health hazard not to have air even if you are healthy. They were less than congenial. We will never stay here again.
