For Lansing Cottonwood Campground:
I giving this 4 stars because of what was for our needs. We had a blown tire on the 127. ( horrible road full of potholes and uneven asphalt)
We needed a place to stay last minute in June. We tried this place and they had availability, had electric, did our laundry and got a safe peaceful nights sleep. Very happy!

For Lansing Cottonwood Campground: We own a company who is working near campus. We have been staying at Hotel in area for 7 months. I decided to do a drive by of campground, as I would bring my girlfriend up to stay in our 5’ver. Not a chance. Appearance is what I call dilapidated, not impressed. 2 stars as haven’t stayed there to review all amenities.

For Lansing Cottonwood Campground: Bathrooms are very nice and new; however, the rest of the campground is in dire need ot upgrades. Sites are uneven for the most part, and many have permanent campers with old tires, tarps and easy chairs parked outside. Pond full of algae. Potholes. No fire rings. Etc., just sad. Stayed here on night because there’s nothing else. Too bad, because it could be nice if kept up.

For Lansing Cottonwood Campground: This place is an absolute dump. We called ahead and had reservations for our 40 foot motorhome. They tried to put us in a tiny little campsite that was basically flooded. When we wouldn’t accept it they moved us over to a pull through site. We plugged the power in and it set off the breakers immediately. Then I hooked up the sewer and released it and it flooded the ground around the sewer because the pipe was backed up. There are numerous encampments posting basically homeless people all around the park. We only stayed one night because there is nothing else around here

For Lansing Cottonwood Campground: This campground has two sides. The Lakefront sites are quite large. The others are ultra tight.
Pros
They really have everything here. My kids 8,9, had a blast. Pool, park, trails, paddle boats, game room.
This campground has a lot of amenities for the number of sites. I don’t think the pool is ever crowded and we never waited to use the showers.
Also the showers have been recently redone so you get a nice, clean, high-pressure shower.
Water at the sites was good. Not rusty.
The setting is pretty. Cottonwoods and the lake ... it is a pretty setting.
Family that runs the campground seem nice...
Close to Lansing. If you need to be in this specific area, you won’t mind the cons...
Cons
This might not bother others, but there are several permanent residents with very old campers in the front of the park. This gave us a very bad first impression. There looks to be a permanent renter with a huge blue tarp. This really takes away from the beautiful flowers/scenery. We almost cancelled and left this looked so bad. Gave us a false impression that the park might not be safe.
They have a massive poison ivy problem here. Shoes are a must.
While the owners have updated a lot of the park the pool needs work. While totally functional it need major repairs. They only had 6 plastic chairs in the pool area.
If you have cottonwood allergies...not good,
Mosquitos were bad but probably the same everywhere.
They need fire rings. Everyone builds fires wherever they please.

For Lansing Cottonwood Campground: Even if the place to park the RV are tiny. It was nice and quite campground. People very helpful and friendly. They have swimming pool and lake that you can fish on it. They rent little boats and canoes
We stay for two day and they gave me a front lake view so I really enjoy to wake and seat front on it.

For Lansing Cottonwood Campground: We stayed here in a 22 foot Class B. The sites were tight and on top of each other. It was the only campground we could find close to Lansing. We were on an extended road trip and just needed a place to overnight to see Lansing in the morning before moving on. The campground was fine for that purpose but I wouldn't pick it as a campground to spend several days at.
