For Metamora-Hadley Recreation Area: Very nice campground. Lots of hiking trails to walk the dogs down. Beach was clean and had plenty of snack options nearby. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and they seemed to keep them clean throughout our stay. Only down side is lots sizes can be uneven and small.

For Metamora-Hadley Recreation Area: Very nice beach area and trails. The bathrooms were clean. But the campground sites were dirty, they sardine you in, very little privacy. The site we were in had huge tracker tracks that made the dirt site even worse. Dead leaves all over. Which also didn’t help. No would never go back there.

For Metamora-Hadley Recreation Area: Nice park, but. We spent four days here. We were in the southern campground on the shore side which was nice. We chose the southern campground because it had more mature trees with full shade which was very nice. Only complaint is that Michigan State Parks seem to have campsites too close together compared to other States and this park was no exception. We prefer camping with some distance between campers so one feels the woods and land instead we are face to face with other people and their problems. So much land and so crowded. Does not make sense. The only reason it was not so bad is that the campground was only half full. So Michiganders it is not a bad park as far as we have seen of Michigan State Parks. Very nice double sided sanitary station.
