For Ontonagon Township Park: A beautiful campground with sites right off of Lake Superior! Even though they don’t take reservations, we called day of and they saved a spot for us. The lake sites were all taken and I asked for a great view. He gave us site 36. It was 100 ft from beach area, in between two sites so we got a view of the lake even though it wasn’t a lake site. Our site was little and narrow but perfect for us since we had a pro master van. First time at a sandy site! We did 20 mins walk on the very nice beach. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Bathrooms very clean. I’d highly recommend. We will definitely go back!

For Ontonagon Township Park: Beautiful campground with several Lake Superior water front sites. The camp host was excellent, showed me several waterfront sites and gave recommendations for area restaurants and hikes. the bathrooms and showers were exceptionally clean and the host takes a lot of pride in the campground. We will return! Highly recommend to all campers.

For Ontonagon Township Park: Awesome park right on Lake Superior. Full hookups, nice updated, bathrooms and showers. Short drive to the "Porkies". Would stay here again.

For Ontonagon Township Park: I considered not even writing this review so I could hog this park all to myself. There are sites on Lake Superior large enough for my 40' rig, 14' trailer and car. We have a short walk through a low dune to the beach. We were able to pull the MH in front-first to maximize the view and minimize the wind on our awning. The manager, Darrell and his staff are beyond helpful and pleasant. Bathrooms are super clean, and the shower water is hot. If you don't want to break camp and dump, they have a reasonably priced honey-wagon, as they have no sewer. But who cares? There is a lovely nature trail through surprisingly mature woods to walk the dog. And I could go on and on.
The only difficulty is they do not take reservations. Some lakeside sites are 9 day limits, some are sixteen. There are always some sites off the lake available through mid-day, and the equestrian park across the street always seems to have openings. So there is always SOME place to stay here. Once here, you can scout out opening sites and move if you so wish. The 16-day limit is for a particular site, not the park itself, so you can move around and extend your stay. It's worth this minimal hassle. The IGA was impressive for its size. The hardware store had everything from alcohol and cold beer to greeting cards and fresh bread. Syl's had great baked goods.
We are extending our stay here, and would go out of our way to return.

For Ontonagon Township Park: This is a wonderful find.... It is a little difficult to find the signs that direct you to the park, but once there you will not be disappointed. The sites site pretty much on the dunes of the beach and waters of Lake Superior. The sites are power and water but good value for service. The childern's play area has a well used structure. The beach is miles and miles of wonderful soft sand. Dog friendly too! The visitor's clean up nicely after themselves, so the park and beach is lovely and clean. The washrooms are clean and thou it is .75 to shower, you are nit in danger of needing that extra .25 to finish there is plenty of hot water, and the facilities are very clean. Trash pick up is at site, left at the end of your site for daily morning pick up.... Although it sounds convenient it can quickly become messy with the crows in the area. Possibly a few cans along the row would solve this. The park is very quiet and the views are beautiful. Make sure you have your camera batteries charged because every day is a photo op. We used this park to tour the area, making day trips to Porcupine Mountains and Houghton, staying four days rather then our initial two. Would absolutely stay here again... A great location!

For Ontonagon Township Park: Amazing location. The beach is always nice and the water is usually warm enough by the end of the summer. We have always loved camping here.
