For KOA Holiday Detroit Ann Arbor: We stayed here 3 days April 2022. We stayed in the area to visit Henry Ford museum and f150 plant tour. CG is reasonably close to those venues and downtown Detroit. CG mentioned they were private owned and back in KOA as of Spring 2021. They are making improvements to the entrance, updated site posts, we paid a few dollars extra to check out at 2:00 pm and that gave us plenty of time to do f150 plant tour that morning, get back and packed up by 2. We didn’t use any CG amenities as they weren’t open yet for the season.

For KOA Holiday Detroit Ann Arbor: This campground is a good place to stay if you are in the area or to get out and camp not too far from home if you live in the area. It is a KOA. The WiFi is not great, but does exist. We stayed in early June 2021 and the water slide and put put golf were not open for the season, yet - which is my primary reason for only 3 stars. The store is a bit thin on grocery stock, but there is a corner store a short drive or bike ride away. The lake is spring fed and tested very clean by the State, which is nice to know, I think. We will stay here again.

For KOA Holiday Detroit Ann Arbor: We were here for 10 days visiting family so did not use amenities. This is an old fashioned family campground, with trees and dirt. The lake was nice with a trail you could walk around the lake. Saturday night was busy with families in tents and smaller rigs. Made me recall camping with our small children. We have a 38 foot motor home, full-timed for five years, and we’re in the minority. We will come again and stay in the lakeside sites.

NateC

For KOA Holiday Detroit Ann Arbor: It gets the 3-star treatment for the location and ease of access from the house. The staff is very nice and the lake is very clear. The problems are: sites are far too close to each other, prices for amenities is a bit high considering the quality, and the network of roads is closer to a trail rather than a safe driving space. The local area is pretty sketchy. I think just a little love and care would do wonders to lift this place to a solid campground.

For KOA Holiday Detroit Ann Arbor: The entire place including the long driveway was sandy soil. When it rained there were huge potholes Our site was also very muddy. The WiFi was spotty and there was no cable. We had friends come by too see our coach and were charged $3 a person to come in! Never had that happen before! The people in the office were helpful. Would not stay here again!

For KOA Holiday Detroit Ann Arbor: Campground is very dated, was a KOA is no longer and certainly not at KOA standards. Be very careful there are more potholes here than I have ever seen at best you’ll need a new alignment at worst you’ll probably break an axle.

Steve

For KOA Holiday Detroit Ann Arbor: We stayed in a pull through in the open area in a 36' pusher. Mostly grass/dirt but level and firm. Clear view for satellite. The road in and the pull throughs are suitable for big rigs. Plenty of separation between sites. Located on a private lake with swimming area, water slide, and paddle boats. Also horseshoes, miniature golf and play area for youngsters. Wooded area for real campers, see other comments. Nice park, would stay again.
