For KOA Journey Cloquet Duluth: Clean camp friendly staff, good full hookups. Train tracks are close and trains are loud- can actually feel the vibration as the trains go by. Drive through sites are not very wide and lack vegetation- disappointing in view of the fact that the campground is in forested Northern Minnesota. A reasonable place to spend a night, but definitely not a destination campground.

For KOA Journey Cloquet Duluth: 4 Stars for Allstays Review: Stayed 1 night during travel. Nice grounds (but close to train crossing with occasional train horn). Staff was very nice / helpful / service oriented. Office store well stocked. Site 39 (back in) but with utility pole on opposite side (patio if you back in) …so we pulled small coach nose in. Site was level, spacious, some shade with grass and hard pack dirt (a bit bare). No Cable TV but decent over air tv reception. Nice restaurant in nearby Carlton, MN (2 miles). Didn’t see / use bathhouse or laundry. Would stay here again.

For KOA Journey Cloquet Duluth: Awesome bathroom/shower facilities!
This is a relatively new looking KOA, the main building and pool area as well as the camping cabins all look very new and are beautifully maintained. The laundry facilities are more than adequate for ones needs and are again well maintained. The sites on the perimeter of the grounds are large and very spacious. The pull thru sites have sufficient space between your neighbours. The fire rings are large and at ground level wood purchased at the office is delivered to your site. There are 11 antenna stations which cover the major networks, so not having cable is no big deal. The Camping cabins are nestled into the woods and very private. The playground structure is well built and very well used by the little campers. The park was very full the weekend we were here, but it was actually very quiet. There was no noise at night and the management appeared to be visible during the day and evening. We needed a place to stay over a weekend and the KOA was the inly park of five contacted that could be bothered to return our call. We had booked a site in line before we received the call back, but we did at least receive the call. The owner checked our site that we booked on line and offered several other sites if we wished, we appreciated that... The WiFi signal is great, perfect for checking email and going on line to make future travel plans. It is a great home base for touring the sites in Duluth or heading up the scenic route to Two Harbours and beyond. The rail lines do run near the park but are not really noticed during the day, and the trains are not excessive during the night. And hey, you might luck into seeing hot air balloons floating over the park headed to Duluth! Great hosts, great park.
