For Sherwood Forest City Campground: Very nice city campground. Right next to the Mesabi bike trail and a beautiful iron mine pit lake named Ore-Be-Gone with a nice beach, dock and landing. Manager very friendly. $39 for full hookups on large pull thru site overlooking the lake. Beautiful. Went swimming, kayaking and fishing. On our list to come back. A few of the 4-wheelers and dirt bikes were a bit noisy but they were only here one night.

For Sherwood Forest City Campground: Very nice CG, overlooking lake. Manager was very pleasant. “Upper level†mostly full with large RVs, but few occupied sites closer to lake, and very quiet stay. Paid $32, with electric. Very clean bathroom and shower. Stayed 7/29/19.

For Sherwood Forest City Campground: Super nice campground overlooking Lake Ore-Be-Gone. Each lot is generously sized with a picnic table and cast iron fire pit/grill. I had a beautiful lake view and was close to the bathroom and shower facilities. It was nice to take a long shower in there every now and then when the park wasn't busy. I stayed here for 5 months and loved it but it gets super busy on the weekends and campers can get obnoxious. The camp hosts are quick to fix any issues and are a really great couple. They have ice and firewood at the camp office and they will even deliver it to your site via golf cart. The only real downside is that the road is a one way and on the weekends, campers will block the road just talking to other campers and there's no other way out. Can get super frustrating. There's a few good restaurants just a few blocks away and a sausage shop with awesome fresh pepperoni.

For Sherwood Forest City Campground: Very nice grounds overlooking lake, next to Mesabi Bike Trail. Gilbert is also home to large off-road vehicle park.
