For The Pines of Kabetogama: Given the price (and we camped on the lower, least expensive option), we were very disappointed. The amenities (size and spacing of sites, level parking pads, utility services) were all fine. However, we stayed over a weekend; the lower level sites front on a heavily used road that had lots of traffic (pickups & boats coming & going, golf carts driving back & forth, campers checking in & out, etc.). It was also a noisy park; common fire pit and gathering places on the lakefront were heavily used, with noise continuing late into the night. If you’re looking for a family oriented resort experience, it would be nice, but for folks like us looking for a quieter lakeside stay, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

For The Pines of Kabetogama: We were on the top level, (the only sites available). Our concrete pad was nice and level but we didn't have a view of the lake. Be sure to ask for a site with a lake view because this is probably the most expensive "campground" we'll ever stayed in. (We stayed here because it was the only campground in the area with available spaces and we wanted to be close to Voyageurs National Park.)

For The Pines of Kabetogama: We had a nice week stay here. We were on the top level where we had a concrete slab, but it wasn’t quite wide enough to step on to and had mud outside our door the whole week. (They did try and fix it, but it rained multiple times). Our view wasn’t on the cliff side, so didn’t really have too much of a view. And we did have to use leveling blocks, which on a slab was a bummer. If we stayed again, we would probably just stay on the bottom where everyone is lined up and it’s less fancy, but would have been fine for us. We were not really at our site that much, we spent time out and about on the water and exploring the area. The use of free kayaks, canoes and SUPs was great. And the staff and volunteers were all super nice and helpful. We used the laundry and it was a bit pricey but fine. We learned how short the season up there is and it justified a lot of the costs we encountered both at the pines and other places. We would stay again if in the area.

For The Pines of Kabetogama: Very nice RV Resort. Gravel pads and roads. Lakeside spots are flatter but the view from the cliff side spaces is great. A little harder to level a Class A up on the cliff side but close enough on my 40'. Very friendly and helpful staff. Resort is right on the lake. Good cellphone coverage and wifi is OK. Would definitely come back.
