For Gulch Lake Campground: June 27-July1, 2019. Due to logging operations, best to come in from the north. Stay on Route 200 west out of Laporte to County Rd 93 (also shown on map as 255th Ave) which runs due south to West Gulch Forest Rd. From there, just continue south and you will pick up signs to campground. Access is by back gravel roads so this site is not for big rigs. Campground says 9 sites, but there are only 6 RV sites, none with power or water; dry camping only. All sites are back inOnly facilities available are hand water pump at the entrance (water was turbid so only used for washing), trash cans, and a single pit privy which was fairly clean. I was there for 4 nights and was the only one on site. There was sparse traffic and local activity increased on the weekend. This site gives you good access to 3 ponds/small lakes for fishing, 2 for swimming. Overall it was quiet and a little off the beaten path if that’s what you like.
