For Big Stone Lake State Park: Quite quiet during the weekdays and there are nice hiking trails with lovely wildflowers. There is also a wonderful wildlife reserve that attracts a lot of migrating birds. The lake is huge but suffers from agricultural run off leading to sad algae problems. We focused on hiking and relaxing under the massive cottonwoods and enjoyed the nice mix of campers who came in on the weekend. Visited the continental divide nearby and learned about the "Brown Valley Man",an archaeological treasure found nearby. Also interesting history about an Indian scout, Sam Jerome Brown. Nice camping experience except for the algae.
