For Shades of Sherwood Campground: This is a park for Kids to enjoy in a safe environment. The north fork of the Zumbro river runs around the park. The river provides an opportunity for tubing. Tubes are included in the stay and the park hauls the tubes back to the starting point. The park seems to be 3/4 permanent residents, but there is a large section right on the river for rv's and some for tenters too. Also they have a water park, heated pool, very large bouncing tube, mini golf and activities for the kids. Bingo and a band was at night for the adults. This is in a very rural area - mile or two of dirt roads. We went on 2021 Memorial day weekend and it was quite crowded. Highly recommended for the kids to enjoy. Adults can enjoy the fact that the kids will sleep well. Bring their bikes. Management was friendly.

For Shades of Sherwood Campground: Nice Park. We had a huge, level site with neighbors far enough away that we never heard them. We did not get the feeling of “city camping†that you often get at a RV Park.

For Shades of Sherwood Campground: We stayed here Aug 4-6th, 2017. Large park but didn't feel that large. Friendly staff. We noticed that many of the seasonal guests had formed friendships to the campers on either side of them. They also have a tight knit community with a Facebook page for their guests to communicate. Many post for get togethers, sales, one even posted to ask if she could borrow a charger! They have a really nice water park that has a very fine sand bottom and sand surrounding it. It was really cool looking and the kids were having a great time jumping from the swim out floats. Because it's located on a portion of the Zumbro River they have tubing available. They also have a heated pool, mini golf, horseshoes, basketball, and weekend entertainment along with a game room that does have a pool table in addition to electronic games. They have a small store with essentials and a clothing line.
If I had to be critical, I would like to think that they have intentions of building a new toilet/shower area. The one they have is run down and I didn't want to take shower. They only have the one location with 4 toilets and 3 showers. Other than that they have outhouses stationed around the park. Aside from the restroom issues the park was terrific and we are planning on getting a permanent site there hopefully next year. Thanks SOS! Lynda
