For Lamplight Lane RV Resort at Glen Oaks: I don't like to tear a place down, but the other "very positive" reviews are difficult to understand. This place seems nothing like what they described. Here's the scoop as I found it: (1) Easy on/off Rt 44.(2) 3 bars US Cellular, 3 bars Verizon. Data on Verizon is OK. (3) Road in to and around the park is VERY rough and uneven - Major earthquake for the rig. (4) Water is good, 60 PSI town water. (5) 50A service is VERY LOW VOLTAGE: 110v no load, 108v @ 30A draw. Barely enough to keep the AC working. (6) NO Amenities. Period. Laundry is 2x2 with one broken washer, tiny tiny little room with no space to work. (7) Buildings look horrible. Campground looks awful. I've been to many, many run down Rv Parks, but this is among the worst. (8) Owner greeted us at the entrance, was very polite and reasonable. BUT...I'm 34ft with toad, and there was not enough length in the one and only relatively long pull-through for the toad to stay connected. I pulled ahead enough to get the toad out of the driveway, and then was way off level ground. Without blocks for the levelers, I would not have been able to stay here without disconnecting the toad...and nowhere to put it!!! (9) It usually shows if new owners are trying to improve the place; I did not see that here at all. The website does not do well at showing what this place is really like. Looks much better than it is. Use your judgement if you want to overnight here. Now you know what's really here for you to use.

Update: BEWARE of dead trees in the sites. Sort message: owner is aware of several dead trees, some with tops already fallen down and limbs rotting, some of which are in the camping sites area. These are in desperate need of removal for the safety of campers and rigs. Owner is defensive and appears unwilling to have these taken down, acknowledging that they've been dead for some time and has not removed them. This is NOT acceptable.

If you decide to stay here, watch for dead trees in your site. Strong summer storms are normal here, and high winds will put you at risk for limbs and even trees comming down on you or your equipment.

For Lamplight Lane RV Resort at Glen Oaks: This was a stay over stop for me traveling back with my dad from Tucson. The owners are both very pleasant and the sites are adequate. It is currently being updated currently. I expect they will make great strides in the near future.

Bradly

For Lamplight Lane RV Resort at Glen Oaks: Stayed here one night, March 4, 2021. Expecting a 5 star RV site. It was NOT! This looked to be a wonderful RV park at one time but is now run down. Gravel sites, fairly lever with FU. I wound not stay here again nor recommend it. Look for other sites that are NOT FALSELY RATED. 30’ airstream travel trailer, TV: Chevy Silverado Diesel.

Ron J

For Lamplight Lane RV Resort at Glen Oaks: Great little resort right off the interstate. Stopped on the way East after a long day on the road- owners were wonderful and very helpful; and even though the place was nearly full, we had plenty of space to move around. Looks like the newer owners are hard at work to improve and upgrade this park- can't wait to see what the do with it! Will drop in again for sure!

INmidwife

For Lamplight Lane RV Resort at Glen Oaks: A convenient stop along I 44, the park is immediately next to the interstate. $30.00/per night for full hook-up. The new owners were friendly and courteous
and seem to be working toward revitalizing what was clearly a worn property. 75 percent of the very close spaces were occupied with extend stay guests apparently working at the near by military base. Lamplight Lane seemed safe and everything was functional but it would be a stretch to call it a Resort.?

Been Here...Going Th

For Lamplight Lane RV Resort at Glen Oaks: This place is ok on appearance and off the chart on price for full hookups, convenient location, and hospitality. I recommend to anyone passing through the area for a good night or multiple night stays. The owners are fantastic, polite, and helpful. The owner walked down to our site and let us know that he just popped some popcorn and invited our boys to come down to the office to get some. We will add this to our list of places to stay.
