For Indian Point RV Resort: 29 ft. Motor home pulling a toad. Overnight stay only. Pull through site (gravel onto a level concrete slab) with 50amp/water/sewer full hook ups. Stayed in the PA, PB, PC section of the camp which appears to be more short term visitors. I can understand why this camp generates high and low scores. It is older and somewhat rough around the edges but is inexpensive and perfectly adequate. We did not use the laundry. The men’s bath/shower was dated but reasonably clean and functional. We had a great breakfast at the on-site restaurant. The ice machine gave 10 lbs of ice for $2.00. Everyone we dealt with was nice and accommodating. The permanent resident part of the camp is pretty large but we did not see a lot of traffic coming from that area. We would stay again … perhaps better for campers than glampers.

Grandma camper
For Indian Point RV Resort: Nice, clean campground. Very friendly individuals. There are quite a few full time campsites but the campground is well groomed.

For Indian Point RV Resort: I say stay away from this one. There is a public boat launch on site and that may be ok for some but the downside is this allows the public to enter. All speed in excess of 40 in a 10 mph zone. The noise level is terrible with people working on their boats, parties, and loud music. There are 200 sites and about 190 are residents that have been there so long it looks like a run down trailer park. The pads are not level, wifi downs not work, trouble with utilities and ants.
Stay Away from this one.

Arrived on a really nice afternoon, check-in was fast, efficient, and conducted by a most pleasant lady. With Good Sams the price was $24.61 per day. Some of the roads paved, some not, but pretty easy to maneuver my 35' fifth wheel into our pull through cemented and level space. Water, electric, sewer, cable all easy hook-up at the rear of the site, requiring two sewer hoses (I could have backed up a bit and used one). Small but really nice picnic table also on the concrete. Roughly a 50' patch of grass between our front door and the next pad. Our particular lot was not very shaded but others would have been except for the time of year.
Bath and laundry facilities were somewhat dated but clean. 3 of 4 driers we not operating but were fixed in a couple of days. We had a wonderful breakfast at the on-site restaurant. Wi-fi seemed pretty good on weekday mornings, ok in the afternoon and was in and out, mostly out in the evenings and weekends. AT&T phone signal never got above 1 bar and and data was mostly non functional.
When I mentioned the cable did not work very well someone showed up within the hour. Turned out I needed to flip a switch in my unit. Took me two hours to find it, live and learn.
The row we were in and the 3 behind us seemed to be for temporary travelers. Most of the rest of the campground units seemed to be permanently parked with a number of full time residents. A number of these units were pretty run down and moldy looking. Everyone however seemed very friendly. People seemed to drive too fast and in the morning between 5 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., too loud. Lots of loud cars and trucks. I didn't care but I don't have any kids. There were several nice places to fish the river or just observe the wild life and dock your boat.
The location was the perfect spring board to see a big chunk of this part of the gulf coast and quite honestly, it kinda grew on me. If we come back to this area, we will likely return, it does the job.

For Indian Point RV Resort: This is a very nice location that seems to cater to a wide variety of both local and long distance campers. The fishing community seems to love the place. There is an on site cafe and clubhouse. The river or bayou is scenic. It has a bit of the patina of age to it but is clean and well organized. The cost is very reasonable. We were parked in an "over fill" site that was quite nice for a night's stay (class B) . We will probably use this again when we pas this way.
