For Bozeman Trail Campground: We departed this morning after spending 3 nights at this less than mediocre facility. First of all, it’s high-dollar and less than adequate. When we pay these rates, we have a fire pit, grill, and a large enough site so that we have some semblance of privacy. I could reach out the window of a slide and touch the slide next door. They advertise wifi but that’s untrue. There is none. We had to leave the campground and go to a coffee shop that provided connectivity. The Freeway runs a stone’s throw from our site and is so loud that sitting outside in the evenings is impossible due to the noise. I can’t imagine tenting there b/c the freeway is even closer to those sites. We’ll never return here nor will we recommend it. Walmart is a few blocks away and is a far better deal for free than this expensive campground. Keep driving. Don’t stop. Not a good use of your hard-earned dollars.

For Bozeman Trail Campground: This is a decent campground. Very close to downtown Bozeman. Felt fairly safe and the campground is clean. Spots are quite close together. It is situated between the railroad and the interstate so it is VERY loud.

For Bozeman Trail Campground: The staff was friendly, we thought they were attentive and nice. They guided us to our site. There isn’t really a playground as stated- it’s one tire in the ground. That was disappointing as I was planning to be there with my 3 young children through the day and use the advertised playground. However, the laundry was good and so were the showers. I’ve seen better bath houses, but they were nice. The sites weren’t spacious and you share a picnic area basically. There are 2 tables, but it isn’t easy to tell which is supposed to be yours. It’s like first come gets the one closest to both sites. It was noisy- but it was traffic, not people. To me, that’s not bad. I can sleep through trains and cars- there wasn’t music or partying.

For Bozeman Trail Campground: Good for one night only. This campsite is real near interstate 90 and a railroad tracks so there is constant noise throughout the day. The sites are on top of each other. WiFi was poor at best. There is no cable. No pool. On a positive note, it is in a good location if you are visiting Bozeman.

Decent place to stay

For Bozeman Trail Campground: The campground wasn’t bad, wasn’t great. The site I had shared the hookups with the site next to me which luckily wasn’t occupied. So there wasn’t an issue. It was a place to stop on the way to another destination and fit the bill just fine. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe there. I would stay overnight again, but isn’t somewhere I would go to spend a “vacation”.

For Bozeman Trail Campground: Of course, I have to start off with the noise.. Everyone has stayed at RV parks next to interstates before. You know to expect some noise just based on the location. For some reason, this is the loudest RV park I’ve ever come across. I have a couple more hours until a spot opens at another RV park... I can’t wait to be able to hear myself think again. It’s that loud. I stayed at this park a few years back. Luckily, I spent most of my time with family in town, so didn’t spent much time at the RV at all. The park was run down then and is a bit worse now. It is clean, no trash to be seen. Just not a hint of any improvements. They don’t have a fenced dog area, or any dog area really... just have to find some grass away from sites. WIFI is normal (not great, but I’ve had much worse). They now use online reservations, which is nice.. unfortunately, even when you pick a site, you’ll probably get placed in a different site unless you pay a ‘surcharge’ to guarantee the site you want. Bottom line, If you absolutely need to stay in Bozeman and can’t get in somewhere else, it’ll work. Otherwise, keep driving down the road... the next place is bound to be better.

Tom Weht

For Bozeman Trail Campground: Called to get a campsite for a few days, was told they were 90%full. Then didn’t say anything, had to ask if he (Joe) had one spot in that 10% that was open. Said he had one small site with power only for two nights and could move to a full hookup the third night. We were in the area so we went to check it out. The site was OK. Then he tells me it’s only available for one night and didn’t remember telling my wife about the full hookup sites. Then start lecturing me about wearing a mask. Mind you I just got out of the truck to look at what was available. Didn’t get close to him, no I didn’t have a mask on we were outside. I can appreciate his concern about COVID, but he told me I had to put on a mask. Went back to get one out of my truck, went back in w/ mask on but no one was there. Said hello but no answer, about 10sec. later he came out. In a very rude tone told me I had to put on a mask witch at that time I was putting it back on. Then I told him I would like the one site he had left. He then said rudely “let’s just part ways” So we left. I really don’t like to talk bad about anyone, but when you are dealing with the public you don’t start off with a lecture about what you’re doing wrong and don’t have information for a paying customer.
