For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: Pretty much a last resort due to no NPS sites at Glacier. Good news was, the staff was very kind and got us in near 9pm. Bad news is, pricey ($52?), not special site (on grass at entrance), no wifi range, and absurdly short shower allotment (6 minutes, with first minute getting up to temp). Bathroom isn’t really clean. I’d say stay if you have to but limit your expectations.

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: We would stay again...positive and negative: sites not level, sewer pipe diameter threaded but too small, wifi barely works but people are super friendly, restaurant is legendary and live up to the reputation, view is AWESOME and it is right outside Glacier NP

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: Stay away from here if you can!! The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because of the close proximity to St. Mary entrance of Glacier NP (less than 2 minutes away), but other than that, had some serious issues with our experience here. We made reservations for our visit well over 2 months in advance and was told that all their sites were pull throughs. When we arrived, I noticed a grassy area near the office which to me looked like overflow sites with mostly travel trailers and a couple class C's and maybe 1 class A motorhome. We have a 38' class A DP with a tow dolly for reference. On checking in at the office, there were 2 employees - one of which was helping a man ring up his laundry soap and the one who checked us in. The lady helping the man made some small talk with him about how much longer they'd be staying (he was a tent camper) and he mentioned that they will be checking out tomorrow and asked "will you guys miss us being around?" to which the lady replied "yes." The lady helping us check in was giving the man a dirty look the entire time this conversation happened and once the man left, she asked her fellow worker "did he ask if we'll miss them being here?" And then made a comment that she won't miss them at all, because they were "constantly in the office using the wifi." Side note - the wifi is only accessible in and around the proximity of the office, so where else would he be able to use their wifi?? The lady helping us saw that I was paying attention to this exchange and said to me "oh, I don't mean you guys..you can use the wifi as much as you want..." This was the first red flag for me seeing as how they were bad mouthing some of their paying customers in front of other customers! When she showed us where our spot was, it was in the area where I had thought it was "overflow" parking. Those were actual sites where 17 sites were crammed in together! I asked if there was a mistake because we had been told we'd have a pull through for our rig and she said, based on our time there that they only had 30 amp hookups (which was fine) and those sites are the 30 amp sites..they were not pull through sites. We unhooked our tow dolly and took the next hour trying to find a level spot in our site... we never got level at all, even with extra blocks. It was about 15 inch difference from one corner of our rig to another prior to leveling. All of our neighboring campers had the same issue and were under the impression that these were overflow sites and that they were supposed to have a pull through site. On the second night we were there, our rig sank into the ground a couple inches and we had to reposition and try to re-level. Additionally, the bath house was horrendous! Hair was all over the place and they had a bug strip hanging above the sink covered with dead moths and other bugs! The stalls were something out of the 70's and made out of plywood that looked like they've been painted a dozen times. I'd been to more inviting porta-pottys. The showers operated on a "token" system where you had to get tokens from the office. Each token offered 6 minutes of running hot water. The office area was always crowded due to the only place where you could access the wifi. We had just traveled up from the Yellowstone area and paid the same amount of money there at a campground and the amenities were much much better for the price. For the amount of money these guys are asking, you'd think they'd spend a portion of it to update and level their sites, clean up their bathrooms, and hire more friendly staff! If hookups are not an issue, then I'd much rather had spent a night or two at some of the campgrounds in the neighboring Nat'l forest land or within the Nat'l Park if you can fit. Stay away!!

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: Extremely convenient to the East entrance to Glacier National Park! Stayed 2 nights but spent most of our time in the park. Our site was up on the ridge where it was extremely windy while we were there. Not much of a view for us in the back row of sites but water & electric on site made it more comfortable than staying in the natal park campgrounds. RV dump on site. Wifi works if by the office. Did not use the showers, laundry or restaurant on site.

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: We travel 4 to 6 month journeys almost every year with friends who have an RV with the same requirements for a campground as we have. This was the only one on the side of the park we liked. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Our site, #20, was a perfect for the parks WiFi. The very best part of our site was the view of the mountains and the lake. The sky was magnificent during the day and most breathtaking in the evening. We were able to see it clearly. Our dog's favorite part was the meadow near the sites where she could run and play and not be near a busy Street. Not sure if this was condoned by the park. I cannot speak for the tent and cabin sites as we did not use them. The laundry room was clean and not overpriced. Between our site and our friends there is a dead tree with a hole that is occupied by two birds. I believe they are taking turns sitting on a nest but did not want to get right up to the hole so they would still come back. Please be respectful of their privacy if you get this site! They will come and go while you're here.. Must be used to RVers.
There is a restaurant here if you want simple fare. If not, you might want to go to one of the many hotel restaurants in the Park. We all ate more than one meal at the st. Mary's restaurant.
We have agreed that the major downside to the sites is the uneven ground. Leveling was not an issue. Walking was. If you have any difficulty with balance this would not be the place for you. The only other thing I can tell you on the negative side is that the sewer from the full service areas drains uphill. Not really a big deal but just FYI.
We would gladly book here again.

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: Stayed one night while enroute to Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta CA. This is very close to the east end of the Going to the sun Road in Glacier National Park. Paid $52.25 per night with Good Sam Discount. Price seemed high for the park amenities but you are very close to the National Park so that is the reason for the price. Sites are dirt with some grass the site was not very level but manageable . Our site had cow and horse manure all over it however we were asked to pickup after our dog. View from the site is amazing, overlooking the lake and valley, very nice!!. Check in was easy with great service from the desk employees. Overall this is a good campground with full hook-ups in close proximity to the national park. Would stay again if in the area but would look at the National Park campgrounds first.

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: Far too expensive for what you get. The spaces where we were are not level, potholes and hills. In the off season it really wouldn’t take much to level it out. The WiFi works if you are at the office, not at your site. We were about 8 spaces from the office and still had to go up by the office. Which wouldn’t have been bad except it was the second week of September and very cold. And the showers...what can I say except that they are woefully inadequate. In the women’s showers there was only one chair for all the showers, no benches, tiny tiny tiny showers, no hooks. Thank goodness I have a hanging shower bag, but there was still nowhere to put my clothes or towel. How expensive can it be to add a few hooks to each shower, and at least a chair for each shower?
