For Campfire Lodgings: Nice campground. Beautiful view. Spent a week. Sites 1 thru 8 have the best view. Afternoon sun is very hot. 1 and 8 have some shade. Have not seen any problems with kids as some have mentioned. Other sites at edge of woods. Good spacing. Will b back. Ck out Baked Pies bakry and Geraldine’s. Pay attention to times to leave/arrive due to narrow road. Some sites with view are at edge of drop off, not for kids.

For Campfire Lodgings: DO NOT BRING CHILDREN. They are not welcome. They let you know that, not family friendly. They should say Adults only. It is also very dangerous for the little ones

For Campfire Lodgings: This campground is located on a ridge about 15 minutes outside Ashville. We have a 45 ft rig and pulled a 23 foot trailer with our car. If you are bothered by a tight fit with hills and turns then this place may not be for you. However after you get here the positives are many. Starting with the staff. They were very helpful with all questions and requests that we had. The view from our site (P2) was unbelievable. In the fall I imagine the colors would be fantastic. There is plenty of walking trails and wildlife to be seen. If you have a young walking child these sites close to the ridge may not be safe due to the drop off. I agree with one of the other reviewers that the campground in general may be tough for kids 10 and under as there is no playground. Very pet friendly. Nice flat paved sites with easy access great fire pits with paved seating areas.

For Campfire Lodgings: While the view & location of this park are superb, it is not really family friendly. Perhaps the lack of a playground should have been a clue ?? The grounds are immaculate & easily accessible. Our problem was that we had young children with us that were constantly being instructed what they were not allowed to do, which seemed to be most things, like flying a paper airplane that might land on someone else's site. Wow.
It seems they cater to the older RVer. Perhaps they should just say no children under a certain age.

For Campfire Lodgings: As commented elsewhere this is a very nice small campground on a ridge outside Asheville. The rates are high $50-70/ night but the view is great and as important the access to Asheville is quick and easy.

TT Camping

For Campfire Lodgings: This is a small campground located in the Blue Ridge area. The views are amazing of the river below, as well as the valley. The campground itself is very clean and well attended. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. We stayed in June 2016 at site P2. The Site had amazing views. We do not use a satellite so I don't know how reception would be. They do offer cable which worked well. They do impose a security fee for the cable remote but only charge your credit card it you do not return the remote. There was never a charge made to my CC. Water pressure at each site was good, we had no sewer problems and we never encountered any foul odors. The bathhouse and laundry room were easily accessible and central in the campground. Lots to do in Asheville and the surrounding Blue Ridge area. We had no problems going up the steep dirt road with a 27 ft travel trailer. Our friends had no trouble pulling their 32 ft fifth wheel either. We did see some larger 40 ft coaches camped there as well. Don't be worried about the hill. Others have said it was too steep or too may turns. It is a small challenge but nothing too much to make me avoid this campground. Would definitely recommend.
