For Smith Lake Army RV Park: Campground is quiet and off the beaten path. Enjoyed the sounds of freedom and loved seeing our service members practicing flight maneuvers. Didn’t use the facilities. Stayed in two different sites this visit. #21 by the lake was beautiful and much quieter but didn’t have sewer connection. Site #2 had full connections but not private or quiet at all (lots of walking and drive by traffic). Staff was friendly, professional and helpful. Will stay again.

For Smith Lake Army RV Park: This is a great little campsite. Off the beaten path. About 15-20 miles off of 95. The shower facility is great. Nice and clean. Nice and warm! Our area had 6 private bathrooms each with a sink, shower, toilet, soap dispenser and air hand dryer. When I tried to wash my face it took a LONG time for the water to heat up. But eventually it got warm enough to wash with. There’s no Wi-Fi but that’s not what we’re here for. Out spot has a concrete pad. Pull thru with plenty of space. Pretty level too... The roads into the park are dirt / crushed stone and a bit rough. Yes, 10mph speed limit for a reason! I walked the pup and there are plenty of dirt paths to keep him sniffing. Looking up and the stars are bright and vivid (no light pollution). We heard a helicopter earlier. A bit loud, but this is an active base and that’s to be expected. Personally, I like being “in the middle of nowhere.” Ms. WT on the other hand doesn’t. Therefore, “we” don’t like it and will only be spending one night. As I said, this is a great little RV park. Make sure that you bring food etc.., as there’s no camp store and it’s a few miles to town.

For Smith Lake Army RV Park: Very nice and quiet, off the beaten path and in the woods near a beautiful lake. Bath house had the cleanest facilities of any camp we've visited. Check in was easy pizy. For $25 per night you get a full hookup and pull through site. There are grocery stores within a few miles which is nice. Visit the Army airborne and special ops museum if you get the chance. Very interesting.

For Smith Lake Army RV Park: Class A, 37’. Easy pull through, staff was very helpful with reservations over the phone. Many types of sites for poor Throughs/5th wheels/tent sites and cabins. Bathrooms are clean and updated with private shower stall. The playground and picnic area is a great place for families. Play ground is covered with shade and wheelchair accessible.

For Smith Lake Army RV Park: Paved pull through lots, level dirt back ins. Bathrooms were clean and warm with it being 30 degrees outside. Several options where to park (by the lake, or on the hill). Walking trails near the sites were nice for the dog. The campground is in the middle of nowhere so pick up supplies before you arrive. Wall mart is only 15 min away. Overall I would return.

For Smith Lake Army RV Park: Class A, 37' - Traveling through the area ... Smith Army RV Park is very nice... concrete slab (be careful, as not all are level and require blocks), decent bathhouses, and nice folks. Grounds are super well maintained. Yes, this is an army base and you may hear some helicopter noise at night, even late into the night and early morning hours...didn't mind or bother me at all. Would definitely use again!
