For Pelican Point RV Park: Beautiful setting near the water. Surrounded by trees. Very quiet nights. Days were somewhat quiet aside from an occasional jet. Check in was super easy. Laundry room was one of the nicest I have seen. Great lounge area to wait for laundry. Showers and bathrooms were very spacious and clean. We will definitely be back. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park at Cherry Point MCAS in a Travel Trailer.
The beach is about 30 minutes away and so beautiful! Emerald Island is a nice drive. Fort Macon is a must see! So much history and the views are amazing.

For Pelican Point RV Park: Beautiful park, well manicured, but beware the female manager there makes up her own rules. I checked in on 20 June 2021 and set up my camp. The next day the civilian female told me I had to leave because I have 3 dogs and I was only allowed 2. I told her to show me where on the RV parks web site it says I can only have 2 dogs. She said it’s on there, but could not show me. She showed me a copy of the “base policy “ that states “residents can only have 2 dogsâ€. I told her I’m visiting, not a resident. She insisted I’m a resident and can’t have 3 dogs. I got my money back and left. They need to state a dog limit on their web site to be fair. I will be climbing the chain of command to find out why the civilian employee feels she can make her own rules up and get away with it. My advice to you don’t stay there, she is rude and not fair. Oh by the way the rental office reeks like cigarettes, because she smokes in p government building against military policy!

For Pelican Point RV Park: Beautiful, well kept Campground. Very clean and quite. The lots are level and have large concrete pads with a picnic table. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back.
You are within a short walk to a small boat ramp for canoes and kayaks. On our first walk three bald eagles flew over us and a buck ran out in front of us.
This is an active fixed wing air station so jets fly by quite often, but we enjoyed watching them.
The cost was $25 a night and you can stay long term for $550/mn.
I did not use the bathroom or laundry rooms.
One thing to note the office is only open M-F 8-4:30. They have one camp host and they were gone when we were here.

For Pelican Point RV Park: WONDERFUL campsites and facilities aboard Cherry Point MCAS! The Sites are designed with much forethought and offer much more space and privacy than most. The size of the concrete pads are more than generous and the entire area is immaculate.
It's a lovely place to walk, run and bike. The sunsets on the river are spectacular. We saw lots of deer while there, too.
Frankly, this should be the standard for military RV Parks in my opinion!
Lori was very helpful with lots of info about local eateries, beaches, etc. She is a GEM! We look forward to visiting Pelican Point for a longer visit next time!
