For Stone Mountain State Park: Excellent campground! Friendly staff and rangers, well maintained. Wonderful large sites, we were at #45, loop B. Near a bubbling stream. We were there Monday -Thursday very quiet.many trails to hike although they recently had a controlled burn in March so much of the undergrowth shows charred trees and stumps. Worth the hike to the falls (300 steps down and back up!) interesting historical homestead hike. Too bad you cannot tour the interiors with a guide though. Many local vineyards and wineries with-in a short scenic drive! All in all I would return for sure!

For Stone Mountain State Park: Beautiful park, great even sites, helpful camp hosts. So many amazing hikes from easy to hard. The rock view at the Homestead, the waterfalls, the mountain view overlooks. Only negative, no Wifi and poor phone service.

For Stone Mountain State Park: Our “all-time” favorite quick getaway is Stone Mountain Dtate Park! A jewel in the NC State Park system.

For Stone Mountain State Park: Stayed 8/2019. Great Stay! Large, paved, level lots, with electric and water hook ups. Dump station was easily accessible. Very clean, non-alcoholic campground with nice bath houses, good hiking trails, pioneer farm (handicap accessible), swimming with natural water slide. Not close to anything. Most lots had no shade, no privacy. No mountain biking.

For Stone Mountain State Park: Such a nice state park campground! We enjoyed trails in the park that have waterfalls and the mountain summit. The shower house was adequate and grounds were clean. We will definitely be back!

For Stone Mountain State Park: Beautiful campground, especially for a state park. Wonderfully spaced, mostly level sites with a large crushed gravel patio and at least one tree. RV sites have water and electric hookups only, no sewer, but has a dump station at the park exit. Very clean and quiet. Park staff very friendly and helpful. Only down side is absolutely no cell service, which for some isn’t a bad thing. Town is only 20 min away for supplies and cell service. We will definitely be back when in the area again.
