For Arrowhead Campground: Very nice basic campground. In general, well laid out sites with fire ring, grill, picnic table and lantern hook. Concrete and gravel pad. Our site #16 was great for our 28 ft. Class c. Decent bathhouse, maintained generally even on a busy day in fall. Good walking trails/hiking trails right out of the campground with easy to moderately difficult trails. Close to the lake. The nights we were there the park was full but respectful families who honored the 10pm to 6 am quiet times. Excellent Verizon service.

For Arrowhead Campground: We stayed at this campground in August of 2017. If we judged it by the road to get into it we would give it a 1 or 2 star max, we were so frustrated by the time we got there we didn't want to go back. Not well maintained gravel roads with pot holes and no room for passing vehicles, and with a tow trailer or rv, it was stressful. Once settled into our site we loved it. The bath house facilities were kept very clean, our site had a walkpath directly to it as well (Site 37). We had a paved site that was mostly level, for our 18ft T@B400 it was perfect. Huge firepit, picnic table, grill, lantern hook. Nice paved walking trail around the entire campground was great for our dogs. Nice and Quiet, we didn't notice any mosquitoes when we were there but there were lots of gnats flying around. The area is also great, Badin Lake Rec Area for boating, lots of bridle trails for horses, close to Morrow Mtn State Park. We loved the area and definitely want to return. If it wasn't for the road in, we would have given it 5 stars!

For Arrowhead Campground: Stayed June 21- 23, 2015. The RV campground consists of two parts, one with electric hookups, one without, plus a tent section. Our pull thru site was paved but very unlevel. The campground was light usage when we were there. Unfortunately, this area experienced a horrible heat wave during our stay which made camping miserable. Under different circumstances I think it would have been fine. Nice paved walking trail to Badin Lake and boat ramp/swimming area. Lots of trees, a little overgrown in spots. Drinking water was close and easily assessible. Showers and restrooms were well maintained. Dump station. Hosts on site. Road getting there is horrid. We drove several miles on a rutted, washboard dirt road. Later found out taking Mullinix Rd reduces the gravel time. Not good for large RVs. Our 23' TT got shook up pretty bad. Wouldn't return because of the road, not the campground.

For Arrowhead Campground: First of all, paved road turns to gravel & not smooth gravel road either. The road is ditched on both sides so we just kept our fingers crossed that there wouldn't be another rig coming in opposite direction. Campground road turns back to pavement. It would be nice if they would pave the half mile in. The entire campground needs a tree trim badly. Not one site was completely open and free of some sort of branches. Sites are paved but not level. I don't mean a little side to side I mean a lot back to front. On the website I read 40 foot rig frIendly, it is not. Bath house is falling apart. We actually should have left Arrowhead and camped at the house camp down the paved road coming in.
