For Windmill State Recreation Area: Stayed in October 2021 for one night. $25 per night plus $12 out of state vehicle tag. Site 4, level concrete pad. Spacious with shade, easy back in. Electric only. It’s pretty with plenty of space between sites.

Yukon2500

For Windmill State Recreation Area: Clean, spacious and quiet. Electric only, no water. 3 short miles to town, plenty of gas stations.

For Windmill State Recreation Area: Clean, that’s about the best I can say. The “ pull thrus” are actually along the side of the access lanes to backin sites. Tough if you have a slide out. Even tougher to pull (or back) a long RV in/out of a space. Not level at all even with levelers. VERY NOISY from I-80 traffic. I wanted to think it would be like white noise...but it’s not. And I have lived in NYC! For the $31. -$33. Charge for an electrical site, I would have rather saved the $$ and stayed in a Walmart.

For Windmill State Recreation Area: Nice grassy spots with shade. Our site was level as were most we saw. Nice back in or pull through. . Fire pits, tables and playground. Showers and restrooms were fairly clean but buggy . Some road sounds from highway. I would be happy to overnight here again.

For Windmill State Recreation Area: Nice and easy stop while traveling. Pull through sites are plentiful but are really just areas that the road is widened. Not typical pull through a. If you have slides they can extend into roadway. Nice clean with lakes and windmills. Sites are spacious with decent picnic tables and fire rings.

Big Rig Master

For Windmill State Recreation Area: Stopped here for just a overnight on a Friday. It is just a stone throw from the highway. All the electric sites were full but the camp host was very helpful and we set up in a parking area close to a picnic shelter. Very nice grounds with many fishing ponds. Bathroom close to us was not the best but functional. Bath house further down was more recent with coin operated showers. I would stop here again, three antique windmills on the grounds are very cool too.

Linda Cavender

For Windmill State Recreation Area: Stayed here over night on the way across the country. Only regret was we only stayed one night. Park was very pretty and clean. The showers were just okay. Kinda dirty with bugs, but have seen worse. Park host was very helpful. Only have electric hookup no water but the have hydrants to fill your tanks. Will stay again if chance arises.
