For Bear Brook State Park: Ditto about deep in the woods...scenic, quiet, short walk to pond for fishing, swimming and or kayaking. Very beautiful campground. Showers coin operated, private stall. Only complaint is men’s restroom near site 49/50 was gross. Women’s was fine and showers too. But men’s needs a deep clean.

For Bear Brook State Park: Campground is deep in the park so keep an eye out for campground signs (might have multiple entrances) We came in off of 28 and had no problems finding it in daylight. Really great choice of sights - boulders, tall pines, waterview-ish. There's even a walk-in, non-reservable lakeside site. Showers are cheap(25c) considering the volume of water is strong. No problem showering in 3 min. Beach and kayak rentals in campground. Great little park especially early evening.

For Bear Brook State Park: We were in town for NASCAR race so picked here. $25 no hook-ups, 25 cent for a couple of minutes for shower , takes 25 cents to get water warm enough to get in. Signs to Campground are hard to see, especially coming in at night, and somewhat confusing. Dump station is dirt/mud area with no fresh water fill there. We got fresh water at spigot at left front of store, kinda odd place to try and park and fill up.
