For Oliver Lee Memorial State Park: Loved this RV Park. So beautiful and clean. Sites situated good distance apart. Bathroom/shower facilities were nice. I highly recommend the dog canyon trail and small loop behind the visitor center. Our site (#2) had electric and water but no sewer, not sure about others. All surrounding area looks like desert garden. Our 2 boys rode bikes around the loop all afternoon with minimal traffic. Really enjoyed our stay here. New Mexico did great with this one!

For Oliver Lee Memorial State Park: Great campground. Spacious, gives the feeling of privacy at the sites in Loop A. Bathroom, with showers, were extremely clean. $14 a night for electric, plus a $5 entrance fee. Views to the west across the Tularosa Basin excellent (especially at sunset), to the east you are abutted up against the Sacramento Mountains. Excellent dark night sky. Great stay, thank you New Mexico State Parks.

For Oliver Lee Memorial State Park: Other reviews were spot on. The drive down the road is littered with run down homes, but you go up the hill and have amazing view and great amenities for the price. A bit outside the city but totally worth it. Spaced out spots. 3bars LTE with ATT. Fire rings. Hiking.

For Oliver Lee Memorial State Park: I was a little concerned when we turned on road to park, don't turn around keep going. Wonderful campsites, $14 for water and electric or $10 for dry camp. Nice clean showers with solar hot water. So glad we came. Nice hiking trails and close to White Sands which is awesome.

For Oliver Lee Memorial State Park: What a find....beautiful and well-designed to provide privacy. You fill as though you are the only rig enjoying the extraordinary sunsets.
Pros: $14/night for water/electric site, each site with tremendous view of the valley, clean bathrooms, clean solar-heated showers
Cons: subject to high winds which limited our chances at sitting by the campfire to watch the sun go down, ranger performs many duties so each time we went to tour the visitor center it was closed
Extras: Dog Canyon Trail was well worth the effort, Space History Museum was extremely informative, especially if you remember the first moon landing, White Sands National Monument is not to be described, only experienced
The park is a New Mexico gem!

For Oliver Lee Memorial State Park: Don't be put off by the 4-mile ride from u.s. 54, which makes the area look a little scary. This park is worth the drive, and you can't beat the price. You are in another world at the campground, which sits high at the base of the mountains. There are electric and non-electric sites, and reservable as well as first come, first served sites. A ranger drives the loops in the morning if you arrive after check-in. Dump station near the entrance. Some sites have wind shelters and tables, others do not. All sites have a fire ring. The park welcome center has good displays, and does some tours. A great base camp for an afternoon trip to White Sands. Conveniently located to shopping in Alamogordo.

John
For Oliver Lee Memorial State Park: Great camp ground with a killer hike up Dog Canyon. Don't let the first 1/4 mile stop you it eventually levels out to the 2 mile mark...remarkable views!
Close enough to hit White Sands NM.
Bathrooms clean, although shower water pressure is poor.
Take the guided tour of the Oliver Lee ranch house.
Also take the drive up to Cloud Croft and discover the amazing rail road tressels
