For Valley Of Fires Recreation Area: Arrived here early afternoon on April 3 and got a nice site for one night before the place filled up later in the PM. They were scheduled to start online reservations in the next few days for half of the sites. Great views and hiking trail with interesting geologic history of the lava flows. Clean bathrooms/showers; quiet; good Verizon signal.

Kirk

For Valley Of Fires Recreation Area: A gem of a sight. Amazing views all around. Enjoyed the 1 mile paved walk through the lab flows. Winds were probably 40 to 50 miles an hour but subsided by morning. $9 to camp with electric and water with Senior National Park pass. Got here late morning on a Sunday and had no problem getting a spot. Spots were paved but not particularly level. Didn’t use any facilities so can’t comment on those.

For Valley Of Fires Recreation Area: We found out about this gem from a gentleman we met in Roswell. It has several sites with W/E & a dump site. We paid $9 with our National Parks Pass (it’s $18 without). Restroom & shower building (we didn’t use but they looked good); site host was very pleasant (ran into him while walking our dog). Overall, this place is fantastic! Great views, close to Fort Stanton & Lincoln...we stayed 2 nights & would easily stay here again (especially after seeing the other RV park options in the area!)

For Valley Of Fires Recreation Area: A terrific find. Thought it was NPS but is BLM. All the reviews true but I was shocked that ATT was at 4 bars and 4G. Outstanding views.
