For Clayton RV Park: Very sad campground. Clearly an old KOA which is not loved or cared for. The sites are large but most of the picnic tables are rotting out. The ground is coverd in “goats head†weeds which really make it difficult to walk your dog. Could be a nice cg if only it was taken care of.

For Clayton RV Park: Grass spot sites with a handful of other RV’ers there. Late check in and left early as we were traveling. Did call in advance and got rates and general info on price and where to setup. Didn’t use restrooms. Minimum of two trains went through during the night, and horns blew at several crossings you could hear.

For Clayton RV Park: Nothing fancy here, but a good stop along the way. Level grass sites with full hookups. Owner/manager is friendly. For those that need cable tv, there are two motels in town. 87 Restaurant is just 4 blocks away and has friendly workers and good food.

For Clayton RV Park: This was a sad place. Everything needs maintenance and TLC. The guy in the office was very friendly and it served the purpose of a place to spend the night. No cable tv and nothing local to pull in on the antenna. I would not stay here again. I passed a better looking park just down the road.

Mike
For Clayton RV Park: A great place for an overnight stay. There are long pull through sites with good power - we used 30 Amp. The sites were on grass, but with a solid base, no problem with traction even after it had rained. There were a couple small puddles in the access roads though. One negative to note is that there are frequent freight trains all night long and the whistle is quite loud and close; earplugs or white noise is suggested! Carol checked us in and was very friendly and helpful with suggestions for dinner. There are a couple fast food choices, but we opted to walk 9 blocks to the Eklund Hotel in downtown. This is a very nice old bar/restaurant dating back to the early 1900s. $3.50 for draft pints of craft beer is a good value; guacamole appetizer is generously sized and spicy.
