For Rockhound State Park: Site 17, $18, stayed March 2021. Spectacular campground . Protect your engine bay from packrats. Bring a flashlight with a strobe function for overnight. I’ll be back.

For Rockhound State Park: I can’t say enough great things about this place. We had no reservations, so we were escorted to a beautiful level private site up the hill. Super friendly camp hosts, clean restrooms with showers (could have been a little warmer but at least it doesn’t require quarters), good Verizon signal, nice trails. If you need electricity, make a reservation. Otherwise try to get in a couple hours before sunset.

For Rockhound State Park: A beautiful park with wide open views of the surrounding mountains. The park has wide roads and easy to back in camping spots for your trailer or coach. Water and electricity but no sewer but the dump station was easy to get to and use.
My wife and I hiked the simple trails surrounding the park and were delighted with the views. We would have stayed longer and will keep this park as a favorite in future travels.
The only challenge was our lot was quite uneven from back-to-front of our trailer which made our trailer tongue extend quite a bit. Highly recommend this park!

For Rockhound State Park: I spent two nights here, and would have stayed longer, all of the electric sites were reserved.
This is a small but very nice well maintained park with great showers, fairly level sites, and covered picnic tables. The views are spectacular, and the is a very nice hiking trail with varied desert plants and animals all along the trail. If you are a rockhound, this is one of the few places that actually allow you to take rocks with you when you leave. (15# limit) it is just a short drive to Deming.

For Rockhound State Park: Large sites, well maintained, nice museum friendly staff, hiking trails, electric and water sites a bit hard to get without reservations. Nice non-electric also. New restrooms.

For Rockhound State Park: Other reviewers are so right on. Campground is immaculate and campsites huge and include covered tables. Surrounding desert is absolutely beautiful. Close to paradise!
