For Coyote Creek State Park: Be advised: site dimensions are incorrect. Site 5E, separated by railroad ties from adjacent sites, measured 19’x20’. We had to park our truck across the way, and our 23’ trailer was in the roadway. Neighbors canopy legs were in our site. Other campers were as dismayed as we, upon seeing their sites, too. Bathhouse was clean and close by to electric sites. Other areas were no utilities, with pit toilets. Park staff just shrugged. However, happy folks fished the creek. A trail up the ridge was steep and fun. No Verizon, some WiFi by bathhouse.

For Coyote Creek State Park: Very nice and quiet campground. Has 30 amp, water, and one site with sewer. There IS a dump station though and it’s accessible. We got the site with sewer, water, and electricity and it’s $18 a night. Not very busy which is nice sometimes and the scenery is beautiful. I would definitely recommend if the koas, rv parks, and popular state parks get too hectic

For Coyote Creek State Park: Park was nice. Camping sites are extremely tight to each other. Our neighbors on each side were less than 20' away. In fact, if the trailer on our door side had a slide on the same side, we wouldn't have been able to put out our awning. Fishing in the creek was only 50' away and they NM F&G had it stocked with plenty of catchable fish. Had a playground for the kids to enjoy. NOTE - There is NO dump station. There is even a sign there indicating a dump station. Asked the host and they noted that the bridge to the other part of the park and consequently the location of the dump station had washed out 3 1/2 years earlier. It looks like they're working to rebuild it, but as of July 2015 it's still closed. Sites in the middle (probably 3E through 6E) would be VERY difficult to get a long trailer into. Website says they'll take a 35', but buyer beware. Altogether its an OK park and we had a nice time as our neighbors were friendly, but we had NO privacy. Probably won't go back to this one.
