For North Area - Ute Lake State Park: Stayed one night-was on the very back row. Long site with plenty of room. However, it felt like a gravel parking lot with rows for the vehicles. Apparently there are much better sites near the water. Was ok for one night stop over.

For North Area - Ute Lake State Park: Very nice park, especially for $14/night with drive up availability.. Reservation through internet will cost you additional (Reserve America). Approximately 10-12 sites in Yucca Loop is available on 1st come 1st serve basis. Other sites are also available for one night if not reserved on-line. Long drive through sites with covered picnic tables on concrete pads. Little tree cover mostly exposed. Reservation sites also have covered picnic tables with brick walls on two sides for wind protection. Electricity and water at each site. Wind blew regularly 15-20 mph when I stayed 3 nights.

For North Area - Ute Lake State Park: This is “bar none†one of the he nicest campgrounds we have ever stayed in. The very private sites with covered picnic tables and wind breaks down by the lake are absolutely the standard by which all campgrounds should follow. Now having said that, we stayed at site Z15 on top of the hill. Most sites are pull through and the views are spectacular. If we go back (and we will) we will stay down by the lake....big thumbs up to the camp hosts.

For North Area - Ute Lake State Park: Restrooms and sites are nice for the price. Camp hosts were awesome. We would not go back only because our dog couldn’t walk around without getting stickers in his feet constantly. Beautiful weather in early October. Bug spray is a must. Ask around before choosing a nearby restaurant.

For North Area - Ute Lake State Park: Really nice rangers here. Lonngggg site. Stayed in Yucca loop. We are a 40’ fifth wheel. Could have been 60’ ;-) Electric and water utilities well placed. Pretty view out over the lake. Easy pull throughs. Nice gazebo with two sided wall on our site

For North Area - Ute Lake State Park: Nice spot, great views, and would be really fun for boating, fishing, family get togethers, etc. We visited in February so it was almost empty. Mostly pull throughs that are very level. Didn't check the bathroom/showers. Three lane dumper with rinsing water. Tough spot for dogs...many ninja-star stickers. Had some local yahooz roar through a couple of times at night, which was unsettling. Verizon signal waivered between slim and none. Park WiFi was sporadic. Close to town. Well maintained. Really nice covered patios.

For North Area - Ute Lake State Park: We camp in tents. We found a spot where it seemed a little more protected by trees that was closer to the lake. There was running water but no electricity. There were a million mosquitoes so bring bug spray. Also make sure all your food and garbage are put away in your vehicle. Raccoons, in pairs, visited our site all night long to sample the goodies in our trash bag. When we were setting up I kept thinking the people who use the area must be slobs, but now I think the raccoons just make messes.
