For Tajique Campground: The access road is one lane in a lot of spots, but generally in good repair. A few rough spots. Campground is approximately 5 miles from the village of Tajique where there is a small general store for ice and supplies. No sign at entrance to campground, so may be easy to miss. We spotted the vault toilet from the road otherwise we would have missed it. One of the campsites is hike in only on the other side of the creek. Of the other two, there are small level spots for tents. Other than some road noise during the day, this was a beautiful spot we had mostly to ourselves. Hillside and canyon view. Plenty of ponderosa pines and some scrub oak and small creek about 30 feet from the lower site which we were using. The other site is next to the road. Bugs were tolerable at the end of June. No other over nighters and few, pleasant day users. There is a lovely water fall about a hundred yards up the creek with a pool big enough to cool off in if a person likes it cold. We used the creek to cool our water bottles. We would definitely come again if in the area.
