For Cochiti Lake: What a terrific campground beautiful views and midway between Albuquerque and Santa Fe to serve as your base camp as you explore the surrounding area. Close by it’s a terrific grocery store Romero that you need to see to believe And a gas station minimart with outstanding laundromat.

For Cochiti Lake: Wow, what a great experience discovering this wonderful campground. Idyllic weather in Sept too. Excellent Verizon signal!! Friendly hosts, though i noticed they dont always keep the entrance station open. You're just supposed to come on in and figure it out i guess. White “reserved” papers are clipped to site number posts and have specific dates on them. I blew it initially because i didn't know what day it was haha. Incredibly comfortable here once settled in. New facilities on “ringtail cat” loop. Loved it here.

Monica

For Cochiti Lake: We stayed three days. Pros cheap and quiet.cons Limited paved sites with power and water about half are on the upper loop with gravel no cover for table and narrow so you cant really sit by your rv in a lot of the spots. No signage that the rv area is there! Its the first right that says dam once you go down the hill be careful because you dont want to go all the way down to the boat launch. The hosts were great!

For Cochiti Lake: Spending weekend here from ABQ. First time visiting. I am very impressed. Camp ground nicely maintained. Cement pads look new and shelters new and give great sun protection. Views of lake and mountains excellent. Will be back for sure.

For Cochiti Lake: April 2018: Agree with most other comments. Gate house was not open but there was staff at the visitors center. If you reserve your site ahead of time, just pull in. Unless there is a “reserved’ card on the post, then it is available, but check the dates on the cards as they post them early. It is confusing. Bathrooms are newer but need some attention. The sites in Ring Tail Cat are our favorite as they are new, concrete pads, with a new Ramada and concrete table. Very Nice!!! View of the lake and nice spacing in this area. The Juniper loop needs updating and is weird, I would live without electrical and go to Elk or Ring Tail as both of those areas are much nicer. Close enough to Santa Fe. Oh, a brand spankin’ new laundromat in Cochiti Lake is around the corner near the convenience store. That makes us full timers very happy.

For Cochiti Lake: Go see Tent Rocks monument! Just okay bathroom facilities. They are relatively new construction, but need better daily cleaning and a good scrubbing. Nice, quiet camping neighbors during my stay. The older park entry attendant was direct and robotic - could have been a bit more friendly and helpful in describing the surrounding area. Will probably return here if in the area again, but may look for something new.

For Cochiti Lake: This is a great campground -- clean and nicely laid out. The Juniper Loop has water and electric, as well as some space and foliage between the spots. We stayed in #3, which had a nice view and reasonable privacy. We needed to call ahead because of a late arrival. Although it was hard to reach anyone at the gate, when we finally spoke to Mary she was friendly and helpful. We knocked off a star because the bath house in the center of the loop was out of order, and the showers in the next closest weren't very private. We had a great stay!
