For Oasis State Park: Peaceful! Wide open land, excellent for star gazing, sunrises and sunsets. Large level pull through sites. There is a warning not to drink the water, it is the whole area, not just the park. Showers/bathrooms large and well maintained. Each site has covered picnic area. Fish pond and playground within walking distance. Our second time here and would definitely stay again.

For Oasis State Park: I mean, it is the high desert of eastern New Mexico, so “oasis” is subjective. Don’t come here looking for a lush, green campground. However, it is clean, well maintained, with huge level sites, water, electric (even a few 50 amp sites) a dump site and trash pickup. The bathrooms are clean, and the shade shelters at each site are nice. Quiet, star-filled nights, but close to town for shopping. My only complaint is that the sites that are reservable online are mostly the least desirable sites. So, unless you are staying over a holiday weekend, or you just want to be extra sure you have a space, you’re best bet is to come and pick a site instead of reserving online.

For Oasis State Park: Campground was acceptable and typical of others in New Mexico. Other than the lake there isn't much to it other than a place to camp. I would stay there again for an overnight stop.

For Oasis State Park: Nice enough. Wide open with level sites and really nice covered patios. Lots of ninja star stickers so pup wasn't happy. Good showers with a decent amount of time for each push of the button. Very convenient to Portales. No dump.

For Oasis State Park: Great little campground! We stayed one night on our way from Texas to Arizona. The bathrooms are beautiful! So clean and new. The sites are nicely spaced apart, not to on top of one another. It's conveniently located just down to the road from a Walmart, so you can easily pick up supplies. I would have stayed longer had I had the time and won't hesitate to recommend it to others. I to would have given it a 5 stars but the dump station is still inoperable and I never did see or find a camp host, but we didn't need one. We stayed here in mid Sept 2017 in a motorhome.

Cardinal flyer

For Oasis State Park: We stayed here the end of April 2016. We had a nice site & enjoyed the new shower building. Just wish the showers did not require pushing a stupid button for the water to spray. Or at least had a longer time between pushes. The dump station also is still out of service There were 2 lose dogs that came thru the park daily never did figure out if they were strays or belonged to a residence nearby

Blonegasket

For Oasis State Park: This is a nice little park, even though it's flat and windy.
Had the dump station been in operation, I would have rated this park 5 stars. There seems to be no hurry to get it fixed.
The shower facility is beautiful, being less than a year old.
The camp host is great. Blue quail are abundant this year. It has been cool enough for the reported snakes to be in their dens.
AT&T has good cell and Internet service.
Sites are level and roomy.
We spent 3 nights in mid-October.
We were in a 5th wheel.
